Yes I see the same exact thing as you do. Not having Desean Jackson with the Eagles is a big deal for their offense and they don't have anyone to stretch the field. I'm a little worried about their TEs but I sure by then we'll have Carter back and would be able to man the middle against their TEs. We really missed Carter against the Giants and thats why I believe he makes a difference in the lineup defending those passes in the middle.

As for their defense their wide 9 will get exposed against the run. They have to go against some physical run oriented teams such as the Texans, Cardinals and the Seahawks and us both times which doesn't seem to favor their defense. So I think my assessment is fairly reasonable that they will start to slide starting with the Cards.

Sure its too early to count those two games against them as wins. But the odds of us winning both games is pretty good if we just run the ball and do what we do best.

The Eagles are a 3-4 defense - they haven't run a wide 9 through a four man front since Andy Reid left.

We are not the players or the coaches. Most of us are fans and we can look ahead, us taking our eyes off the Commanders hurts nothing

It's a well know fact that people discussing things on a message board can greatly effect the outcome of the current weeks game:facepalm:

The Eagles are a very soft 5-1 team but you have to respect they've found a way to win games.

I don't see them as very talented overall so I can't wait to play them.

They do have one of the hardest schedules in football remaining. They only have 4 more home games and get a Cowboys, Seattle, Cowboys stretch....

The Philly HOME wins over StL, Wash and Jax are plenty bleh.
They do have a quality win over Indy.

I have them going 9-7.
Losses to DALx2, SEA, @ARI, @GB, @NYG
That is a really tough final 10 games.

I think the Dallas match up is terrible for Philly.

No one could be happier than me about the boys but Philly is a difficult matchup for us. Not making predictions one way or the other. Just saying I suspect a high scoring game; which may benefit them more since we run more.

Yep... And..
I only see about 4 losses in that schedule.

For me at this stage all I can think of is Dallas going out and winning the next 3 games then getting the much needed bye week. See where Philly and others are and make the final push.

The next 8 games for the Eagle are brutal and I can see them lose a few of those games.

I think they will lose to the Cardinals, Packers, Seahawks and to us twice.

They'll be in the playoffs with a record of 11-5 or 10-6 as a wildcard.

Then will probably beat them again come playoffs.

This is the scenario that I see coming up with the Eagles. In the meantime were hitting the easy part of our schedule with a lot of momentum. All we have to do is keep winning the games which were supposed to win. Then we make it into the playoffs as the top seed.

Of course anything can happen this season and things can go for the worst. But I like our chances then the Eagles right now. In my opinion, I don't think the Eagles can sustain their winning percentage due to their schedule and Sproles being injured.

Tough schedule. If the Eagles win the East they will have earned it...Sproles should be back for this weekend or next.

I would guess they split. Traveling to Dallas for a Thursday game is a huge advantage for the Boys.

I think we're better than Philadelphia, but they're still a good team. They're much better than the Giants and we still had issues defending the out route and the middle of the field against the Giants.

All games are tough on the schedule. There are no gimmies.

You think they lose to the Panthers? Panthers are real bad.

Yea, not to mention we will have Mathis and Kelce back by then. Picking the Panthers over the Eagles is homeristic anti Eagles thought at it's best. Anything can happen but to predict it just doesnt make sense.

I would say they will lose one of the last two remaining road games to NY or Wash as well.

I think our D blows your D out of the water. Our ST destroys yours ST. I am also confident that our O will be better than yours once all the pieces are back in place. The comparative schedule though may be the great equalizer over the next 6 weeks or so....you had better have a 2 game lead or better going into the last quarter of the season.

I should keep my mouth shut about it (not that I'm superstitious or anything), but I like the Philly matchup. If we can keep them out of the end zone, Chip Kelly's ambivalence toward time of possession could really bite him in the ***.

We'll see when the teams take the field.

Time of possession is the most over used, meaningless stat in football. If Team A executes 70 offensive plays in an up tempo mode, while Team B only executes 40 offensive plays does it really matter who technically had possession of the ball for the most play clock? Just stupid.

Slow tempo, running teams can eat up clock and make the game 'shorter'. High tempo, passing teams make the game 'longer'. TOP is just coincidental of the styles of play.

You would be more accurate by saying 'Chip Kelly's ambivalence towards the high tempo O resulting in his D being on the field so much could really bite him...'

I dunno.. doesn't look that brutal to me. They'll lose some games, but that's not slide worthy. They can beat the Texans, Panthers, Titans and Skins straight up. They will probably split with us and The Giants won't be playing for anything but spoiler. .

As long as the Cowboys keep winning, then I'm not concerned about Philly. The Cowboys can hand them 2 losses.

There are times that Foles is horrible, hopefully we bring that out in him when we play them just like last time. The Eagles have a pretty darn good dline and it's giving their secondary confidence. They lived in the backfield against Giants. On offense they are still explosive.

That'll be the toughest match up we will have had at that point. I hate the Eagles and most Eagles fans I've come across just suck. My ex roommate was an Eagles fan and after 2 weeks I decided to move out. He was an inconsiderate little bugger.
