If the shoe fits, what had or had not this team done, which made you feel that Philadelphia was going to blow out this team, should they had won?
too much rum. You ll answer this tomorrow.SLATEmosphere;3065688 said:Either I had too much Rum tonight or I'm just completely lost in this question..

We fare very well against the Eagles the first time we play them every year under Romo/Garrett/Wade -- now, the December game worries me still. And I think matchup wise, we fared very well. Talking to friends this week, I got a lot of "????" looks when downplaying how difficult of a game I expected this to be. I expected it to be close, but a very winnable game.

Why did you think the team would be blown out by the Eagles?
Hope that helps.
N'awleans will lose two games in the regular season, thanks to their super soft schedule, the losses will be against New England and Dallas.RainMan;3065712 said:Quite honestly, I'd be shocked to see us blown out this season -- with the possible exception being the New Orleans game. If they get a 10-point lead and Romo gets picked off, that one could get away in a hurry. I'd be nothing less than blown away if they get blown out by anyone else.
44-6 was an aberration, even for the teams of years past that couldn't get it done in the playoffs.

RainMan;3065752 said:We'll certainly see. I like how our secondary matches up against their passing game more than I did, say, five games ago. But historically speaking, we struggle in New Orleans; they're a darn good team, which isn't to be ignored; and their defense is opportunistic, which concerns me when it comes to Romo -- even if he is much improved in the turnover department, save that Giants game.
I will say this. I use to consider our defense somewhat of a finesse unit that was capable of giving a gutty effort here and there. I'm starting to see this defense as a tough-minded unit that can punch a team in the mouth -- and do so without its safeties getting torched for deep touchdowns. If we can take that formula to New Orleans, given that we have an effective offensive unit, I'm by no means guaranteeing a loss.
