Kind of proved his point.

First 5 mention a NFC Championship Game, the last 2 do not.

It’s OK if you’re not truly invested
I'm just a real person who does not live vicariously through the triumphs and struggles of athletes who are putting their bodies on the line. "Truly invested" only means you are watching the game safely from your couch like everyone else.

The officiating has been suspect this year but I believe it evens out over time. There’s no collusion by the league. That’s tinfoil hat stuff.
At this point I'm not even saying that there's collusion by the league.
There is just tragic inconsistency from one group of officials to another and from one game to the next and from one player to another they're just as nothing you can hang your hat on and say is consistent ever anymore.
For instance Tyler Smith has his feet held to the fire and is called for every little ticky tack holding call while they let Micah be put in a chokehold continually it just makes no sense to me anymore.

I will go as far to say that the officiating is getting so bad that football is becoming unwatchable I'm not the only one who feels this way many of my long-time football watching friends are getting to the end of their rope with this nonsense.

Bet, this next game is a home game. If after a holding no call, if the stands on the replay would scream: another no call penalty! It wouldn't take much for the media reporters picked up on that in the Cowboys home field!
They need to replay every holding no call on that giant screen over and over again until the league just has to eat it and you're right the whole stadium should just shout from the top of their lungs.

What would be even better is after about the third one if everybody just got up and walked out.

I don't know about you but I'm to the point in my football watching career where the inconsistency in officiating is making it almost intolerable to watch I don't expect perfection but in 2023 with all the technology that exists I expect better officiating than what was able to be executed in the 50s

There’s a lot of attention being focused on this issue this year so maybe, just maybe, the league will do something about it. I agree with you 100% on the inconsistency between Officials groups. It’s like did they go to different Offical schools?

Yep you just have no idea what you're going to get from week to week some groups let the teams play Don't call too many penalties other groups it's like a total flag fest
Some are real strict with certain penalties there should be one standardized school for NFL refs and they should have to pass it to be able to officiate in the NFL it should be like a top gun school for officials.
And every group should officiate the same and the group on the field should be augmented by a group in the booth the call should be standardized and they get them right all the time with as much technology as there is out there today there is absolutely no excuse for this third world style of officiating.

That bogus illegal shift play changed the whole game I just rewatched it and it looked like CD was set before Ferguson started to move I don't know what they were talking about.
That took away a first down in the red zone and a very possible touchdown.
DAk made an incredible run and it was negated by the refs again on a bogus call

Historically the number 1 seed is 25 out 48 or just over 52% to win the SB. So home field advantage may not be as big of a deal as we imagine.

While the players and team must remain positive throughout not sure why it matters what fans are thinking .
There was a college study done. Negative waves go through the atmosphere, and they reek. It definitely matters the atmosphere feels it. Can’t explain it just just does.

I can respect that. I’ve been training with professional athletes for over 50 years. It’s a way of life I’m definitely invested. Or on the sidelines. I can definitely feel their pain, this struggles, just like I can feel their accomplishments. But again. We are all individuals we can’t expect everyone to have the same input.

I’d like to see that study where negative connotations impacts professional sports teams . Sounds like a crock of crap .

More than likely losing leads to negative atmospheres not negative rhetoric. Winning changes the atmosphere and attitudes . Not fan homerism.

52% is actually quite a high percentage in comparison to the lower seeds.

And when you throw in the percentage of 1st and 2nd seeds making the SB it becomes closer to 70%. Maybe a little higher.

:muttley: :starspin::thumbup:C'mon Shabazz...I'm betting Cowboys against the Lions and their defense is better.
I think we've got this game too, specifically because we're at Home.....the guys have to eventually make this "bad on the road" bugaboo go away.

This team is at home and there should be nothing to going ahead and producing the first game changing play there in their own house.

Nothing to deny that, but maybe a bad habit they have acquired to just not take charge of the game and to just remain around and just win it then. That is a lazy habit approach and would then reflect upon the head coach if not over come by the heart of the players, theirselves.

I say the Cowboys win and by a minimum of 10...

That is yet another of the now huge list of excuses from mistakes by this team...that clouds team directions and the current culprit...along with no holding calls by opposing offensive lines. Occuring in the secondary, they are called...highlighting the passing games!

That can easily be manipulated by unscrupulous gambling groups for monetary rewards. Corruption as in a former time in sports. Setting up bets...

Have you been here during the first quarter of games this season. We’ve already lost Ording to most of our fans that post during games. I’m telling you they did it during the college football game, like I said, I can’t explain it, but positive energy travels try it.

No, I stay away during games. Don’t want distractions.
