Where did Dak show this? How does an anonymous source cited by a tabloid media guy qualify as Dak showing anything?
I saw it over the past 4 years. It showed in his play.
When you wonder why the Cowboys just couldn't make it happen when the pressure was on, there's your answer.

You just said you were afraid it would show, and when noted that he didn't actually show this you changed gears and said that he showed it in his play over the last 4 years. lol - really?

You mean in the play of a guy who was thrust into the starting role unexpectedly and helped the team to a 13-3 record, or the play of a guy who will try and run through linebackers to get a first down, or the play of a guy who hangs in the pocket and takes hits while waiting for receivers to get open, or the play of a guy is regarded as a leader and someone always eager to work and learn?

You may not think he is a good enough QB for the team, but to suggest he doesn't put everything into playing for the Cowboys further shows you don't have any sense of fairmindedness about him.

It appears theres an attempt to place Dak in a darker light over this situation instead of holding the Cowboys more responsible for not reaching a deal which they have been severely criticized for by the local and national media.

We even have a contingency of fans illustrating this notion that the contract offered was fair and he should have accepted it. Instead of holding the Cowboys more accountable for their intent of playing public perception they were standing firm which risked securing their franchise QB.

The Dak Prescott and Dallas Cowboys drama is far from over. The Dallas Cowboys tried to pinch pennies with their star quarterback over the past two seasons...

If it's true, trading him makes so much for sense.

Trade him for a 1st and a 3rd.(some might say 2 1st rounder's, but He's not worth that much, and it would be a steal getting him for a 1st and 3rd Because we know he's average and will screw the other team)

Start Dalton ( can't do no worse, maybe even better), and be free of this bum. Now we have a Solid draft coming up, especially when he makes the other team trash and 8-8 or worse.

The pinching pennies has become a mantra of our Cheapskate Sons persona negotiating some contracts.

There appears to be some support from this same segment of fans supporting this mentality in contrast to Jerry’s more player friendly deals. Unfortunately the team results haven’t fared any better. They both suk.

This pinching pennies tactic has cost us seasons , talent and money losing Murray disrupting those Triplets with the notion RB by Committee would be enough resulting costing a season , probably our QB’s career then having to use the 1st round pick in the draft to recover.

And mismanaging our WR1 franchise tag culminating in caving in to Bryant’s contract which ultimately had to pinch because of his talent not matching QB which resulted in needing a desperate move for another WR1 to save that season costing us another 1st round pick.

And left us in a position we felt had to extend him or waste that 1st round pick over paying not to mention being held ransom by our RB last season which certainly didn’t save the season.

But yet here’s where we make our grand stand in the sand over reportedly a couple million a year and one year less contract. No wonder the media is ripping us apart.

No; I just see it the way it is.
I would love to be sold on Dak if he was what some claim he is, but he's just not.
He's lucky that he got to play behind the best offensive line in the league.
If Dak had played anywhere else he would likely be out of the league by now.

Somehow, somewhere, somebody higher up is thinking to themselves "do we really want to give all that money to a player we're not sure can lead us to the promised land". Just my opinion.

First, none of this has anything to do with Dak showing he doesn't want to be a Cowboy, so it does not support what you said. It seems you are one of those posters who, if he doesn't care about a player, just decides to subscribe to whatever negative anyone can say about that player without any effort to be fair minded.

Second, I can accept if you don't think he is as good a QB as the Cowboys need, but to suggest a guy who has QB'd a team that got to the playoffs in 2 of 4 seasons and who put up the stats he did last year isn't even good enough to be in the NFL at all crosses into the nonsensical.

Zeke, zack, cooper, la'el, jaylon, tank. Not exactly penny pinching. As you are wont to do, you let your hate of jerry and stephen cloud any intelligent response regarding reality come from your mouth or fingers.

Penny pinching? The same people that complain we didn’t spend on dark are the same who would complain if his contract ends up being a bad move.

this is the type of stuff we’ve wanted for a whole. A team that makes smart decisions based on knowledge not they’re heart.

they’re was a negotiation. We made more than a fair offer. Dak wants to bet on himself he has every right to.

Dak has a lot of talent around him. You want to say garret held him back I’d agree with you. But he has no excuse not to have a deep playoff run with this squad this year.

You obviously didn’t read entire post.

Your slobbering over our ownership especially Cheapskate son is awful peculiar.

But as usual your only rebuttal in these issues is attacking me in an an attempt to discredit my message which is spot on.

He hasn’t penny picked on everyone. He caved in to Lawrence , Zeke and Coop. But some of the others have been very costly. This could be the worse. Time will tell.

Stick to selling insurance. Negotiations of this magnitude are beyond your purview.
