Nuggets from my Thanksgiving dinner

1.) He said Jerry Jones wanted so bad to be the first team to host the SuperBowl in their home stadium, that he felt the Cowboys could just show up this season and they would be in the big game.

Wouldn't it make more sense, if he wanted it so badly, to do everything he could to make that happen (sign free agents and not let good depth like Flozell go)? Wanting something badly and just showing up is like doing the opposite of what is logical. It's like saying "I wanted and A on that test so badly that I just showed up and took the test". Just a weird statement.

Yeah I think Jerruh did want it but he was so blinded by winning a playoff game that he just gave in to wade and did nothing. though getting spanked by the vikings should have made him think.

As regards celebrations: I remember many HOF players that after scoring a TD would just hand the football to the Ref. Like George Halas was once said to say to a young player who celebrated after his first TD "Act like scoring is a normal thing for you."

So Wade Phillips talked Jerry Jones into leaving the OL as is? I have a hard time believing that!

I'm not denying that your relative met a former niners official and all that, but numbers 1 and 3 sound badly like just some guy's opinion.

They all do, actually.

What other explanation is there?
