We are watching greatness....enjoy it.

It's like Aikman back in year 1 and 2....if you actually KNEW what he would turn into, you would have paid closer attention.

I noticed how you completely left Garcia out of some of the statistical stat lines. Obviously there's some jealousy here in your post.

Garcia has been huge all season. So let me help you out. It's a team game and every week the quarterback may have a good game or he may not. Without Garcia, I doubt we would even sniff first place in the Southern division. So, in my opinion, here's how your stats should look:

What does being born in the 80's have to do with a hill of beans? Does that mean they grew up during the Madonna years and are more prepared than people who grew up during the Dianna Ross years?

:lmao:

That was one of your better efforts, IMO. I don't know why but this post really struck me funny.

Garcia is Da Man!

Thanks P4T...

I averaged up their rankings and this is what I got:
Romo 2.33
Brady 2.44
Manning 3.00
Brees 4.89
Palmer 5.33
Roeth. 6.78
I was actually gonna do that too, but then it would all depend on which categories you chose to look at as to who would come out #1, 2, and 3.

There's no doubt about who the top three are, though.

Great post. I know Romo has only played 19 games, but the number are what they are. Romo is a great QB.

I still think Carson Palmer is number 3 on the QB list. He has done it for multiple years.
Lets see...Palmer ranked NO HIGHER than 4th in any of the catagories shown whereas Romo ranked NO LOWER than 4th in any of the catagories listed. I'm trying to see your point but somehow it just doesn't seem to come through.

Great Post and work! Thanks.

Romo is da man. What a relief to Jerry and company that they have found another franchise guy.

I just hope everyone knows that with Romo you are going to get the creative plays and TD's and you are ALSO going to get some of those bad picks and multi-pick games. One of Romo's strengths is making something out of nothing and that is also his weakness in that he forces many plays and catches a glimpse of one our our guys and sandlot throws it in there without being sure. The great thing is that he is right and successful more often than not. The bad thing is that he is prone to possibly being picked off on many throws. In this regard he reminds me a great deal of Brett Favre.

Fans, coaches, teammates, and owners need to live with this now because Romo is here to stay, and there will be more turbulent days when he forces a few or tries to thread the needle just a tad too much. I love how Romo plays to win and throws to succeed. He has a winners attitude/approach. He is not scared to make a mistake. The other thing is, he is resilient. If he messes up he doesn't hang his head and get in a funk for 3 games. This is what was a concern to me for a guy with his skills and dangerous playing style.

Think about this in addition to the awesome, undeniable stats. His first half game against the Giants he throws 3 picks and loses. Next game he wins and starts a winning streak. Confidence intact, still learning and growing.

Then Romo botches the field goal in playoffs/Seattle. He doesn't have great end to the year throwing as many picks as TD's. He comes back from that gaff (many guys would have their confidence broken in that situation). He came back stronger than ever.

Then the Buffalo game with 5 picks, many of the questionable "what was he thinking making that pass" either deep in our end or other teams red zone. The worrisome, game changing picks. What does he do? Not only does he come back and win the game itself, but he forgets about his play and grows again.

This guy has the salt and personality to weather the bad days that inevitably come, and as Parcells wisely coached him, he also doesn't "eat the cheese". He seems to remain down to earth and willing to continue to learn and improve.

Brady is better than when he first started, probably better than when he won the first couple of super bowls even. I get the same vibe from Romo that he is the type that still has the upside and won't stop working. We will have to deal with a few of those fumbles and bad picks because Romo is doing too much, but at the same time we will deal with him being a winner and our team loving the attitude and having the confidence in the QB.

Just stay on the bandwagon when he has a couple of those games where his style costs us the game too!

As for Garcia. Probably the most underrated QB in the league still. I'd take him as a backup any day. Look what he did with Phili and what Phili does without him now. Look at what he does with a beat up Tampa team. Good player.

I just sincerely hope the Cowboys don't mess with the Oline too much. If Flo has to leave which I think would be a mistake, don't move Davis to LT. That would just hurt us at 2 Oline positions and put Romo at risk.

It's good to have the numbers to point to, isnt it? :D

I'd wager most people would be surprised to know Palmer's TD/INT ratio is worse than Romo's. I could understand how that lower ratio might be attributed to playing on a team with no defense, so you're always playing catch up, and likely to throw more picks.

BUT, that should pad Palmer's total yards, too. He still has fewer total yards than Romo, even with 50 more attempts. And Palmer's a very good quarterback, Romo's just been better.
