For teams, summer is a time to shake off the rust and build momentum; for fans, it’s all about the hype. That’s been true for the Dallas Cowboys offense, but in this case, the numbers back up the excitement.

Yes, it’s a unit filled with big names and new toys, but the potential of the offense is very real. They are poised for a legitimate explosion this season.

How can I be so confident? It’s simple: the numbers do not lie.

Dallas’s front office, for all its flaws, has created an offensive depth chart that is filled with proven production and potential for more. If healthy, the statistics show a group that will far outpace their 2024 numbers. There is no doubt about it.

There are a few key examples of this, so let’s talk about them and what the numbers suggest about the Cowboys offense in 2025.

I don't know I don't think it's that straightforward we have nothing to go by yet we haven't even seen a preseason game and we won't be seeing our starters until game one most of our starters sit out preseason..

Here's why I say take a step back here do you think one of our running backs is going to have close to 1100 yards because getting rid of Rico which I still agree with I don't know if we're going to have one running back have 1100 yards but I do see as a group them being a better group but individually the numbers probably not but we need more touchdowns we need more dynamic plays and we probably will get that in the run game like bigger chunk yards more touchdowns we just need more scoring...

Think about this even though Lamb was injured last year didn't he get close to I don't know 1200 yards even though typically he might that might go up I don't think so bringing another target like Pickens over and then having other players may be coming out of the backfield are going to be more targets for Prescott to feed I don't know that lambs numbers are going to be that much bigger as a whole I think the offense could be more dynamic should score more should be a little bit more threatening but poised to explode I think that's a little exaggeration given we have no data to go by......

It's as simple as this if Prescott plays 90% of the games and we stay relatively healthy yes we'll be back to other years where we've had a top three offense I can see it maybe top 5 at worst but I would love to have more big plays dynamic plays and a lot more scoring we need our tight ends to actually participate etc

But by default if we stay healthy we have a relatively normal year of injuries the team should be better. Again by default this happened in 2020 bad year prescott went out but 202137 touchdowns 10 receptions it was one of his best years I can see it the bounce back back to normal....

But the word explode that has to be tempered just a little bit....

I think enough observers are not so apprehensive expecting an offensive explosion, but expect a potential implosion at critical moments during games and the season.

No running game, OT’s that are extremely underwhelming, a QB that can’t deal with pressure and has lost his mobility, and receivers that pout when they don’t get thrown perfect passes all game.

Sounds like an explosion alright, but not a good one.

I'm not against it

If the right things go right, they could be a good team.

Say what you want about Prescott one way or another, but if he can’t perform due to the hammy, it’s over.

Of all the major questions with this team, that’s the largest and there’s no way to know how that’ll end up going.

It’s also quite possible they are much better than last year but still don’t make the playoffs. I can’t really recall a schedule tougher than this one.

This is the goofiest, nonsense, Jerry Jones endorsed article I've ever seen.

Jake Ferguson has played "at an all pro level"?

The dork puts the heights and weights of the OLiners up there, and somehow concludes the line that was getting bullied all year in the run game last year now is "ready to dominate"?

A GREAT article for the Zaney Zoners in here. They'llove it. They'll believe it.

I agree. We have a pretty good idea that our receivers are going to be a strength because our starters are proven, but we don't know that about the running game. We also don't know how the tackles are going to hold up, which may affect that passing game. And if the run game isn't effective, it also can affect the passing game.

If No-Schott can establish a running threat with this seemingly strong interior line and new set of backs, then there's a real good chance of the offense being hard to stop. If he can't, then defenses are going to play seven to stop the running game and devote more players to coverage.

He played at a Pro Bowl (alternate) level a couple of years ago, but not All-Pro. There were several tight ends better than him. He was ninth in receptions in 2023, eighth in yardage and 10th in touchdowns.

I wish more people would understand this.
I do wonder if we'll play our starters a little more since we have a new head coach, new offensive coordinator, etc. It would seem to me that we'd want to see the offense in operation ahead of the system. Of course, I think we are having a joint practice with the Rams, so I think we'll get some 1s vs. 1s action then.

After the revolution people were looking for gold. In reality, there was no mint until 1793. So what are you saying about value now? 'Fool's gold'.'

Insulting isn't real value. There is a real running game right now. A strong offense with a huge line and very talented running backs.

This years biggest sucker fan. Drinking every drop of Jerrys snake oil and ready for the annual Cowboys okey doke.

A hero is made by what needs to be done. Not worship of looking for nuggets of gold.

Know what blood stripes are? I got mine in Korea. Jerry has often done what was needed to be done!
