Numbers Don't Lie: Dallas Cowboys offense poised to explode in 2025

I can't wait to see Jaydon Blue....I have no clue as to how good he will be.
...yep, same here. Our imaginations can get the best of us, and believe he's going to be hitting homeruns.

Im just hoping he's good enough, that defenses will have to respect him.

I'm hoping for a Drew Brees kind of year from Dak Prescott, when Dak can put the ball just where he wants it like during his rookie season.

He played at a Pro Bowl (alternate) level a couple of years ago, but not All-Pro. There were several tight ends better than him. He was ninth in receptions in 2023, eighth in yardage and 10th in touchdowns.
Stats similar to Dalton Shultz the year before.

Schultz and Fergeson. 2 tightends that make it obvious to ANYONE, errrrr, not obvious but mathematically a scientific fact that the offense is going to EXPLODE 2 years after their "all pro level play" that allowed them to juuuussstttt sneak into being the 9th or 10th best tight end in the league.

Nothing screams impending offensive explosion like having the 9th or 10th best tight end in the league TWO YEARS AGO.

This tight end group is very solid and blocks as well.

No running game, OT’s that are extremely underwhelming, a QB that can’t deal with pressure and has lost his mobility, and receivers that pout when they don’t get thrown perfect passes all game.

Sounds like an explosion alright, but not a good one.
Sounds like you’re watching a completely different team.

For teams, summer is a time to shake off the rust and build momentum; for fans, it’s all about the hype. That’s been true for the Dallas Cowboys offense, but in this case, the numbers back up the excitement.

Yes, it’s a unit filled with big names and new toys, but the potential of the offense is very real. They are poised for a legitimate explosion this season.

How can I be so confident? It’s simple: the numbers do not lie.

Dallas’s front office, for all its flaws, has created an offensive depth chart that is filled with proven production and potential for more. If healthy, the statistics show a group that will far outpace their 2024 numbers. There is no doubt about it.

There are a few key examples of this, so let’s talk about them and what the numbers suggest about the Cowboys offense in 2025.

I think the offense has the potential be very explosive I'm just in hopes that with all the new faces people coming back from injury that they get enough work in the preseason where they hit the ground running in the regular season.

I hope the preseason isn't mismanaged causing us not to reach our potential till about game three or four.

Make no mistake this has the potential to definitely be a top 10 offense in the league possibly top five if someone distinguishes themself as a running back but miss managing the preseason could leave us with the anticipation being greater than the realization

Conjecture, speculation and wishful thinking. That is what the article amounts to. I don't mind optimism, but there are no numbers to back up the assertion.

Dak has to play better than he did in 2024 before he was injured. If he doesn't, there won't be any offensive explosion.

Just because Guyton has a year under his belt does not mean he will automatically play better. It sounds like he has put in the off-season work, but I want to see him play better before I count on him. We had the same optimism with Mazi and he still hasn't shown the improvement we need.

RB is still a question mark. I am not anointing two comeback players and 2 rookies. Williams is still young but a question mark regardless. We have high hopes for Blue, but someone else needs to be part of the tandem with him.

Pickens has the potential to make the offense more explosive, but can the Cowboys figure out a way to use 2 WR1s? Will Dak spread the ball around or will he focus on CeeDee because it is more comfortable for him? Dak is still the key.

I agree. We have a pretty good idea that our receivers are going to be a strength because our starters are proven, but we don't know that about the running game. We also don't know how the tackles are going to hold up, which may affect that passing game. And if the run game isn't effective, it also can affect the passing game.

If No-Schott can establish a running threat with this seemingly strong interior line and new set of backs, then there's a real good chance of the offense being hard to stop. If he can't, then defenses are going to play seven to stop the running game and devote more players to coverage.
I think people keep forgetting they changed out almost the entire coaching staffs on both sides of the ball with all this in mind..

i'm pretty sure BS was thinking purely about the trenches especially on offense...
they did it in the draft they brought in a lot of bodies for the offensive line, and I'm pretty sure the offensive coordinator and the OLC are all run centric,
they come from a place where they had the offensive line and the scheme be the focus like literally they want to make sure they're making it easy on the running back and the quarterback and they're going to make it hard on the defense is to read what's coming, at least that's what I've been reading and I hope that it works for us but that is why this staff was built the way it was this was BS design....

The proofs going to be in the real game is that I'm looking forward to preseason I wish I can just skip camp and go right in the preseason cause I want to see the new parts at least some of them in action I want to see the running backs the interior D lineman you know going at it trying to win jobs the
I mean I'm ready to see some of these camp battles in some real head-to-head action against a different team....

I watched the team that went 7-10 last season, ranked 31st in red zone efficiency, bottom third in PPG, and possibly looked worse with Dak under center.
You mean the severely injured shorthanded team with a bunch of lame duck coasters that are no longer here sure that offensive staff is gone mainly because of that it's a whole new staff a whole new vision and perspective whether it all works out I don't know but you do realize we lost a lot of games because of injuries especially on defense you can keep looking at the offense all you want that's on Mike McCarthy it's why he's no longer here but we lost 10 games because of injuries and bad defense because most of the injuries were on defense..

yes, we only won seven games with a practice squad team, sure. It was a mess it looked bad..

What's your point ??

new season new coaching staff a new record,

everything's all new it's reset...

so you can keep dwelling on last year but they're not bringing back the same staff or all the same players this is a completely remodeled version of the Cowboys and now we have to see if it works I mean will it pass inspection or will it fail I don't know.....

I think enough observers are not so apprehensive expecting an offensive explosion, but expect a potential implosion at critical moments during games and the season.
There should be no expectations this year,

that should be the fun part of sports why don't we just watch the games before we make positive or negative expectations, just game by game, comment on what we observe?

I mean we're looking a little too far ahead actually if this team can win nine games and not have a losing season that would be a huge jump, given all the players we lost, new players, giving we just rebooted the entire coaching staff etc..

I mean Just looking at the schedule just observing things,

I think that should be the expectations, we should hope level one is to not have a losing season. we need to see steps, signs of life and good things to come that might take time to gel and get going.

I would be completely satisfied if this team somehow was fighting for one of the wild card spots that would be like the highest of expectations they literally are in phase one with the coaching staff I get it the window is probably two to three years with some of the core players so it needs to get jumped quick but I don't think this offense is poised to explode and I said that already but I also don't think it's going to be as bad as people think but I prefer to watch the games and comment because right now nobody knows what's coming you can't use last year or years past to think you know what's coming..

. Seems like the Internet social media breeds one side or the other there's no gray area there's no middle ground everybody here is either expecting greatness or expecting a total drop off a cliff it's just insane nobody can just be a fan now you have to pick a side..

That's why sometimes these places are just sad I feel like way back in the day when it used to be cool to go down to Dallas on Texas- OU you weekend and we would line in the streets without much hassle from the police..

people be carrying open containers and drinking and having fun but you know what all the Texas fans were on one side all the OU fans were on the other side and we'd just be yelling and being fans and you knew where the line was ,we were bitter rivals,

but this place is supposed to be all Cowboys fans, and I feel like we're bitter rivals there is the pro and the con side of the street...

come together. WE need our own DC protest, rally fans together. Hate the real enemy!! eagles, giants, Washington, GB, SF, and Pittsburgh!!!!

Sounds like you’re watching a completely different team.
Well that's because none of us have actually seen this team yet he's referring to last year which is also wrong but anybody looking ahead and thinking there's anything that's going to indicate we're going to explode on offense or play great defense early on they need to check themselves both sides need to come to the middle and realize this is a game to game affair this year we're going to watch them jail and grow and then see what they really are you can't start guessing identities...

This truly is a new culture being bred here and this team needs time to gel it will show on the field and then we'll actually have something to talk about right now both sides are wrong but everybody has a side it is what it is....
