NY Giants CB Aaron Ross Injured This Morning @ Practice

Ralph Vacchiano via his Twitter account reports that in Tuesday morning Giants practice, CB Aaron Ross just crumpled to the ground grabbing his left hamstring. Let out a pretty loud yell, too. Trainers helped him off.

Clearly the fault of their training staff.

Ouch. That would be another very tough loss to their defense if he's hurt to any significant degree. A Hamstring will be hard for him to comeback from, at 100%, regardless. Those things tend to linger unless they're given plenty of time off to recover.

It's a shame cause I hate to see any injuries. I prefer everyone to be at full strength and that way there is simply no excuses when a team loses. Fans can't go around saying "Well we didn't have so and so." or "So and so wasn't at full strength".

Camp is a bit too soft, but from the looks of all the injuries camp Caughlin is a bit to the other extreme.

This was my first thought as well. IIRC hamstring injuries are, sometimes, the result of dehydration (also a lack of pre-practice stretching). With so many happening in one camp you have to wonder if the coaches are being smart with their players.

I dont understand peeps that say "I want them fully loaded" What does it matter? Injuries are a part of the game.Do u think anyone gave us sympathy for half our starters decimated last year? NO.These guys arent getting life threatening injuries and they make millions. Therefore i hope Eli breaks a hand this year and Mcflabb a foot:D

I say it because I don't like excuses and don't care to hear them for either side. I don't like listening to people piss and moan that the Commanders only lost to us cause so and so wasn't at full strength or they were missing these key guys.

Same goes for any other team we play. Yeah injuries are part of the game, therefor there is nothing that anyone can actually do about them, but I'm always hopeful that they're at a minimum and everyone we beat we at 100% or as close to 100% as possible.

I like it when we beat the best teams with all their best players. *Shrugs* Maybe that's me. That's how I was in football when I played as well.

They seem to be having problems with hamstrings this year.

Tell me about it. When's the last time you heard of an interior lineman going down with that injury.

Pretty sure Canty's playing DT for them. Groin/hamstring injuries usually happen to the skill players.

We all like it when we beat a team at their strongest, but I'll take a win over bragging rights any day.

Well, obviously. I'm not saying we turn down any wins by any means. I'd just prefer they be at 100% when we get them is all.

Wow! That's some sound logic there!
I want the Cowboys to play the Giants when their fully loaded so that there are no excuses. Some people, or "peeps," dismiss the 2 losses with Johnson at QB in '08 because the Cowboys did not have Romo. No excuses, especially against the trash talking likes of Jacobs, Tuck, & Umenyiora, is a high priority for this one Cowboys fan.

I seriously doubt anyone in Pittsburgh cares that if Tom Brady doesn't get hurt they might not even have made the playoffs last year.

First the Eagles, now the Ginats getting biten by the injury bug.

Not wishing injuries on anyone, but it just goes to show that that the injury merry-go-roung cannot be avoided every season.

Cowboys' draft class of 2009 is starting to get hit with injuries also.

The Giants and Eagles have lost much, much more than we've lost in Brandon Williams, Robert Brewster and Stephen McGee.

All that matters in the end is the W that you put next to the game. Who gives a royal rats rear end what homers from other teams say after you win and they lose?
