NY Giants Forum

They are good. I'm telling everyone, the Giants are a playoff team this year. Eli Manning is going to be a very good quarterback in this league. Their fans are right to have some confidence, I've been watching the games. This is going to be tough game. The early Vegas line is Cowboys -3, those 3 points being for home field advantage.

Come on Skaven who have they played? They have the second worse defense in the league.

I agree, I don't think the Giants should be looked at as some easy victory, Dallas will have to play some good football if we are to get a win.

Lots'O GMen fans there.. It's one of the busiest sites on the internet in general I believe. I think it's Top 100 in hits.

Their message board is kinda an old style though, makes it annoying to read.

EDIT - Scratch that, I was way off. It's 23,298, not top 100. But in comparison, CowboysZone is 98,584, so it's pretty busy.

Agreed. This team is for REAL. Tiki BArber is one of the most underrated/underappreciated RB's in the league. Burress is putting up crazy numbers and Shockey is playing well.

Their offense is scoring more points than anyone.

Giant fans are excited for good reason. I've seen every game. They are for real.

They have played some NFL teams and have performed very well, also I would remind you our defense stat wise was not looking very great until yesterday. G-Men are coming off a bye and I have no doubt they were watching the Cowboys yesterday. I expect the Giants to be ready to go this Sunday and Dallas better be ready as well.

What is happening at ExtremeSkins? What are their excuses? Officiating?

Just checked. The officials screwed them. Go figure!

Our defense is still looking alot better than the Giants though. They are at or near the bottom of every defensive category

Yeah, all Skins fans are going nuts about the officiating. I actually saw a screen shot of the long Tatum Bell TD, and there was a blatant block in the back that went uncalled and sprung TB for the TD. Oh well, I'm not complaining :)

I agree but I still do not see this as an easy game. I hope I'm wrong and Dallas just whips up on them big time, it is a lot easier watching a blowout then all these close games we have had. Giants have to be feeling confident about themselves and I expect to get their best this Sunday and Dallas needs to make sure they come out looking to do the same.

they beat us last year twice without manning performing how he is now, withour burress, and a few other of their free agent pickups... michael strahan said on the fox pregame show yesterday kareem mckenzie is one of the best players (something to that effect).. i thought before that this game might be harder for ust o beat than the phili game.. especially since they had a bye week, they've only had more time to prepare for us... it'll be a good game.. i'm confident the boys can beat them, but it'll be a good game

This game is a big test, especially for the defense. This game, in my opinion, tells us whether we're a team that goes deep into the play-offs, or an 8-8/9-7 team. I remember the Giants whooping us at Texas Stadium last year when we were 2-1, I believe, and we all know how the rest of the season went. Yes, we were a much different team, but so were the Giants.

I think the Giants match up better with us than the Eagles did, so we're definitely in for a dogfight. They have a very similar offense as far as weapons, a very good TE, 2 good WR's (to the Eagles 1 awesome WR), and a RB capable of catching the ball and making a play with it. Only difference I see is that their RB can run the ball with consistency, and has done a number on us for years. Eli is elevating himself to become a very good QB and I don't think it's a stretch to say that he's just as dangerous as a banged up McNabb.

Everyone here knows we'll move the ball, and we'll score our fair sharte of points on their defense, I'm just worried about or defense against their offense. You'd be fooling yourself if you think we'll hold them to 3 points like we did the Eagles. I'd be satisfied holding them to 24, honestly.

We definately aren't the same defense we were last year. We have a lot more talent on it this year and a lot more depth. I think our defense will show an upward trend over the course of the year, where I think the Giants will likely trend down. Remember their CB's were weak, and now they are beat up.

I do think we have a very good chance to win this game next week.

Remeber, we said this with Oakland. So the answer is that we need to open up the Offense like we did last game.

They have played some of the worst teams in the NFL. They beat up on the Cards, the Saints and the Rams. Go and look at the records of those teams and how they've won when they managed to eek out wins. The Giants have been getting a ton of turnovers because the teams they have played turn the ball over constantly. Look at the turnover margin for those three teams - NO sits at minus 10, St Louis at minus 6 and the Cards at minus 4. Those three teams have combined to give the ball away 43 times this season. The Giants are at plus 10 in turnover margin, largely due to the fact that they've played very turnover prone teams. And let's not forget, they have played ALL of those games at home. Their lone road game thus far resulted in a blowout loss. The Giants also have terrible defensive backs and not much of a pass rush. Bledsoe will eat them alive if they can't put major pressure on him. And if we don't turn the ball over excessively we should win the game handily.

What can I say I'm a Landry disciple and think all teams are very capable of beating you. When he had his coaches’ show he would talk about the upcoming opponent and by the time he was done he had convinced you this team was the best damn team in the NFL. LOL

I like how you used a lot of words ending in -ly! It made me feel smarter.;)
