Eli is good. I was really impressed with him last night .... but I am so glad San Diego handled that tail :laugh2: Also, I haven't seen a back run the ball like LT did last night in quite sometime. He was in another stratosphere last night.

i think Eli's performance was good but not much more.... highly overrated by the talkies (especially here around NY). He did well with the deep ball but that TD before the half was a push-off. couple of picks were dropped too.

The gints have holes in the secondary, OL and just about everwhere but RB/WR with zero ability to stop the run... yawn.

They found it a little tougher when their "road" games are actually in the other team's stadium.

And don't forget the pick returned for a TD that was nullified by the DL making contact with Eli's helmet while trying to swat the ball (btw, it's the same guy who did it to Bledsoe so he's going to have to stifle the urge to swat at the ball).

Eli was good, but not great. When you are getting blown out sometimes it's easy to put up nice numbers. Vinny had two of his best statistical games last year in 20+ pt losses. He was over 100 QB rating against the Pack and Eagles, and we never contended in either game.

Say whatever the Giants game will be a tough game to win. Eli has not yet played a full season and look how far along he is. We will be playing against him for many years to come. he will be a force to reckon with.

The Giants D is terrible. They have no pass rush and can't stop the run. Even the Cards threw the ball on them. Eli still has a long way to go IMO before he's a force, so I'm not worried about it this year.

I agree I think Eli will become a very good QB

The sad part is that the Giants have what counts as a road conference win on their record. It likely won't matter because they suck on D and won't play teams like the Cards every week, but if it costs someone a tie breaker there will be a lot of pissed off people.

Eli looked good in the second quarter especially. He made a good amount of big time throws. He needs to get better obviously but he is progressing quite well in the system he is in.

Eli is and will be a force to reckon with. We should beat the Giants but we should have beaten the skins as well.

True!!! This drives home the point that we need to find our future QB and start devolping him now if he is not already on our roster. With a QB like Eli in the division, all we need is for the Giants to actually surround him with the right parts and we can quickly find the Giants to be just as much a pain in the AZZ as the Eagles are now.

I do agree with you Sir. Let's hope the future QB is already on the team whether it be Romo or Henson.......We can only hope.

What holes in the secondary are you talking about they have two good starting cornerbacks in peterson and allen and a rising star in gibril wilson at fs. They have no more holes in the secondary then us at this point. Their defensive line is pretty ******** good and what are you talking about they're bad against the run don't look at any statistics of last year about the NYG throw them out. They're team was one of the most injury ravaged teams in the league. This run defense held their previous two teams to under 100 yds combined for rushing. Ladainian did tear them up though. This line has Strahan and Umenyoria both very good pash rushers and strahan is an all around DE and very good against the run as well. Fred Robbins and Kendrick Clancy are good defensive tackles as well. I would say that the Giants have 1 hole on their OL and that would be chris snee. I think the Cowboys and Giants are very similar in a lot of aspects and I feel that the most critical divisional games as far as deciding who goes to the playoffs and who doesn't will be fought between these two.

I do think the Cowboys are the better team it's but the Giants are not a joke. They didn't start out 5-1 last year on accident. They have a good defense when it's not injured and if it's not injured this year we are going to be in for a dogfight for a playoff spot with the New York Giants.

whatever... 5-1 was a mirage. strahan has a bad back and is not great against the run anyways. these guys never stop the run when it counts. the rest is not worth debating as i know i've seen more gints game the past few years (and decades) than you have ;)

no team is a joke - well except AZ - but the Giants are gonna get rolled over by the eagals and any decent team as SD proved. dallas should be 2-0 vs them if they don't self-destruct ala skins MNF.

gotta play the games.

You probably didn't watch the Giants-Cardinals game, which is understandable considering it was on at the same time as the Cowboys game.

You did a pretty good job of contradicting yourself though. Eli's performance last night wasn't impressive because it's easier to pass when you're getitng blown out, but then when the Giants are blowing out the Cardinals, suddenly that means the Giants pass D stinks?

No Pass rush? Michael Strahan? 2.5 sacks in 3 games already, holds the sack record for a season. Osi Umenyiora on the other end is emerging as a good pass rusher as well, with 7 sacks last year in his 2nd year, and 2 already this year. He played opposite DeMarcus Ware at Troy State and in HS. The Giants had 7 sacks in the first two weeks of the season, same as us. They didn't get any sacks against the Chargers bascially because of the way the Chargers played. The passing game wasn't really used, and when it was, it was quick drops. Brees attempted 22 passes against them, 35 against us. We had 2 sacks on Brees.

Eli basically beat us last year, and he's been impressive this year outside the Cardinals game, not sure why he still has a long way to go to scare you.

Eki looked a lot like big brother last night. He's progressed more rapidly than I imagined. We're the only team in the division without a young QB either starting or waiting in the wings (sorry, Henson). And if the Skins hit on Campbell, look out.

Do you watch the games man? I'm gonna say you don't and are just assuming he isn't good against the run since most good sack artists aren't(KGB, Rice, etc). Strahan has always been very good against the run.
