If they sacrifice Moore just to protect Dak they have crossed the Rubicon for me
JJ and Co can do whatever they want with their club .... I will be taking time off sporting this team
I get what you’re putting down here.

They have invested so much in this middling quarterback that there will be scapegoats a plenty.

Oh and to throw gasoline on the fire you can bet the house that Jerry & Co. will restructure Dud’s contract and extend him for five more years to lessen the cap burden.

Dak will be here much longer than 2024.

Yet...how does a top 3 offense - the last two regular seasons - wind up scoring only 12 and 17 points in playoff losses.
Undoubtedly Pollard going down in the 2nd qtr was a major blow.
But last January, there was Pollard - and Cooper - plus Schutlz, Lamb, etc. ---yet only 17 points.
My question exactly. How does this happen?

I think the New York post is hearing things that they can’t go to print with yet, but they are laying the groundwork for a Kellen Moore firing and a hiring from a team that is possibly still in the playoffs or the Super Bowl.

No, it's the New York Post.. They are just speculating. I'm not saying Moore won't be fired. But it's not like the friggin' New York Post is going to scoop local and mainstream sports media, especially not on something like this.

They do have great cover pages though. Always provocative and entertaining to the extreme.

It is sad but let others watch the circus and be fooled
fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me....I am done watching this crap.

Johnson and Kingsbury is the interesting aspect of the article, but did the writer get those names from social media speculation or quality sources would be my question.
I wish people would stop talking about Kingsbury. The guy isnt gonna coach in 2023.

Yeah, but...
You don't think other teams are trying hard through the year?
They don't want to win?
It's not like Dallas played a weak division this year and only beat powder puff teams.
They beat a bundle of playoff bound teams along the way and you have to think those teams wanted to beat the Cowboys just as bad as the season went on.

I don't know. I don't get it.

What changes when it hits the playoffs?
What changes is you play quality teams. During the year they beat teams that weren’t that good: split with eagles, beat commodes twice, same with giants- teams that lack talent. We beat Minny and Cincy early when they were losing. Bucs beat us, and we beat other stiffs. No mystery why we lose to quality teams. Plus, you love Kellen so you should like losing.

it’s not about Moore the person it’s about the scheme folks. Regardless of our QB

but the other guy sucked before dak was here.

The only reason Kellen Moore was able to be a QB in the NFL was because of his Xs and Os knowledge and comprehension. The guy looks like Leave it to Beaver, and threw for 435 yards in a game.. How does someone inside Kellen Moore's body accomplish that unless they understand how an offense works, and can exploit defenses?

you warned us the 49ers were a paper tiger, charlie brown.
And I was right!
The Cowboys defense held their offense in check, and it would have been worse if our offense had built some momentum. Their offense was stymied until the defense wore out from having to play the game by themselves.
If our offense had showed up at all, we win by 20 points.
San Francisco didn't win that game; Dak gave it to them.

They played a ton of quality teams throughout the season and won.
Plus, I don't love anybody so get those assumptions out of your mouth.

The problem isn't sucking but sucking at the wrong time. Dak and the offense was magnificent against the Buccaneers. Wide receivers getting wide open, Dak making precise throws, etc. But when you come back the next week and can only score 12 when your defense gives up just 19, everything about the offense deserves to be called into question.
To be fair, they do have the best defense in the NFL. But I hear you. They had a chance to win, if they could avoid throwing it to the other team's players. That's why I put a lot of this on McCarthy's lack of in-game involvement with Moore and Dak. He just stands there, and can't even get his punt team ready.

Maybe in college.
But...because the ex-Cardinals HC did a poor job in the last half of both the 2021 and 2022 seasons - on AND OFF THE FIELD - no NFL team should be bringing Kinsbury on for 2023.

I don't blame him.
Enjoy life. Work isn't everything unless it is everything.
