The only reason Kellen Moore was able to be a QB in the NFL was because of his Xs and Os knowledge and comprehension. The guy looks like Leave it to Beaver, and threw for 435 yards in a game.. How does someone inside Kellen Moore's body accomplish that unless they understand how an offense works, and can exploit defenses?

i just didn't think he was very good as a qb coach or o.c.
but they did.

Almost every fan on the site, Dak fans and non-Dak fans, have called for a new OC ever since he took over.
Why those who don’t like Dak would suddenly change their tune and support Kellen Moore is beyond me.

I’ve seen just about every poster in this thread defending Moore and saying he’s the scapegoat also say Moore sucks as a play caller this very season.

You know it’s okay to not like Dak and want a new OC who might run a modern offense. You can still dislike Dak. This offense, run by Garrett, Linehan, and now Moore, has been near the top of all offenses in every tenure with better receivers, a better run game, and Romo and Dak…..during the regular season. This offense has been shut down in the playoffs against good defenses under all three OCs and both QBs. Moore knows no other NFL system, so if we want a different system, it comes with a new coordinator. That’s not scapegoating anyone.

How does a top 3 offense even happen with all this suckage?

I often ask the same question—team wide:

The FO is staffed by incompetent drunks.
The HC is a fat puppet.
The OC doesn’t know anything.
QB1 and RB1 both suck, and RB2 is too fragile
The OL is broken and constantly shifting.
The WR group is weak.
The kicker blows.
The defense is overrated.

We went 24-10 the past two years. How?

We have 2 avg Checkdown tes w no sauce lining up in a spread offense trying to play wr and one is getting 10 targets per game and only scores 5 tds a year. Lol

It's the same dual te scheme every week with a different wrinkle since 2011

Despite Dak's shortcomings I don't think we get to the number 1 offense rolling out any QB. A lot of money has been invested in Dak and Kellen's play designs have been called out by many. With a new offensive coordinator it atleast offers a fresh start and will answer the question who really holds this offense back. We can all agree that Dak played terrible in the division round, couldn't consistently run the ball, and continued to see some puzzling routes.

Lol curls, curls curls, Moore is an idiot for not running crossing patterns and picks like all teams do. He has been called out by NFL teams that his offense is so basic and easy to defend and read. Yes works against crappy teams but when you go against top notch defenses you see how they can be shut down.

Look.....there is no defense of Dak and his interceptions this year.

But can't the misunderstanding about play-calling, situational football (no 4 minute package to simply move chains.....remember Philly game....gave the ball back for Eagles to still have a chance)....route concepts....passing on the 1 with 1st and goal.....pass-happy.....teams revealing an understanding what our offense would do?......etc. Most of us watching predicted plays or had WTH moments about such. Dak's interceptions can be the excuse for this year, but not for 3+ years......it can't.

Kellen may survive, but he ain't immune to being critiqued one bit, and the failed correction to the Dak issues this year may have done him in as well. Glad he don't get immunity, come to the office and explain yourself......as the OC in Training Program ain't working.

Brother Corso, some of us have been saying all along that the strength of competition can skew the offensive stats. The last 2 season we’ve had the too 10 easiest schedules so there’s that to consider.

another stat I saw was that although the Dallas cowboys have scored a large number of points, in the last 2 seasons, 26% of those points have come off of turnovers which is a league high

but at the end of the day the quarterbacks inconsistency and turnovers have negated a lot of those points.


i however, have been consistent about pointing out that teams like the Niners and Eagles continued to add REAL FA talent while we picked up olds man Hankins and off the couch TY Hilton……it’s just not enough to keep up with the competition

Top 3 offense that goes no where in the playoffs. Bill Parcells was even questioning his play calling in a previous thread here.

We line up our
3 tes in a spread formation and have "no screen" Zeke running in the flat. He may as well been walking

That just might be the most low percentage play ever based upon a pure talent perspective
