Dallas needs to establish dominance on both sides of the ball early. First drives.

Offense - Zeke and Pollard set the tone with the ground game right off the bat. McGovern sees the field during this drive. Nothing seems more demoralizing if the other team runs the ball on the first drive and scores. Not to say it should have no passing. But a methodical drive that sets a tone today that it ain't your day today Giants.

Today should be the Dalton Schultz/Blake Jarwin first half. Move the chains by exploiting the hash marks. Then come out in the second half and open the offense up. Show the NFC East who the beast is.

Defense - Three guys to focus on early. Daniel Jones, S. Barkley, and K. Golladay. Move Parsons and make Jones account for him on every play. This may mean moving Gregory as well. Be unpredictable, but smother Barkley in the run. Force Jones to beat you, and put pressure to move him off his throwing spot.

Diggs should be head hunting today.

Remind Garrett why is he is no ,longer in Dallas. Early and often.

If Dallas were to allow the offense of the Giants to settle in, this could be a long day. While trophy games and style points aren't as important as a win - @Bobhaze pointed this out - soul crushing is in this game sends a message.

Frankly, I might put it in the heads of the defense to win this one for Jaylon. A bit of added incentive and get these guys fired up.

One of the aspects of the early 90's Cowboys was a confidence Dallas would play well. Especially in 93 after Emmitt came back. Going into every game I felt Dallas would play well and win. Dallas won 15 of 19 games that year and a championship.

They lost the first two as Emmitt sat out. They lost to the Falcons the week before Thanksgiving 27-14. Then they lost on Thanksgiving because Leon Lett didn't understand to stay away from the ball.

Frankly, Dallas could have gone 18-1. But that is history.

The years we all have suffered in less than silence as Jerry tried to find his butt with a road map and a tour guide in this NFL for a quarter of a century could be at an end. It has been arduous and painful. It is games like today where Dallas should show it is truly one of the best teams in the league, and build the confidence this fandom deserves.

A Lombardi in SOFI would be so fine for 2022.

That road begins today. Mercy is for little children and women. No quarter today.

Okay, I got carried away. But you get the point.

Step on their necks and keep it there, no letting up. Last week the defense got a little lazy against the Panthers and gave up 2 TDs in the 4th quarter. Just because you are way out in front doesn't mean you can let up. Get the Giants down and keep them down.

easy thought

this will be much tougher game then fans think..the NYG offense is their strength and hitting their stride at the right time..

I say it will be very similar game to last weeks start, closes for while and hopefully we pull away late..well heck i say look back to game 1 last year before Dak went down..game was tight , we won with Dalton in cleanup but that what i expect today..

dang NFCE games always seem to be close unless one team poops the bed with Turnovers early..

go back skim through that game 1 last season, same week, same circumstances, same venue , think we might see the same game? i say yes..

I think the lines will be the key and the reason we win.

I think their OL is going to struggle against our quick pass rushers (assuming Micah will play the edge in the nickel). They are banged up and only average when healthy and speed rushers give them trouble. We aren't going to spy on Daniel Jones because he isn't a Hurts type of runner, but we will need to be aware of when he takes off and especially when we are in man and everyone turns their backs to him. Barkley continues to struggle running the ball so hopefully that doesn't change today but he has been effective in the passing game lately. I think if we can get up early and make them throw it will play into our hands and we'll get a couple of turnovers again

I think if our OL can keep Dak clean (the Giants had no sacks last week) we should move the ball because we are moving everyone in the run game and even Leonard Williams and their DL will struggle to stop our run game and a big reason for this is Blake Martinez being out. Peppers is out too, but he hasn't been great.

We should win
That makes me nervous

Whatever occurs, I think we'll discourage them from writing on our walls in the visitor's locker room!
If things go as planned in the postgame, there shouldn't be anything for them to brag about.

I don't like when young teams get too much attention too quickly. It sets up for a let down.

But I agree, if the Cowboys allow the Giants to stay in this game for too long, it could turn ugly for Dallas. The key is getting pressure on Jones and forcing him into mistakes. The DL has to win this game. Get pressure and stay in their lanes to avoid giving Jones room to run free.

I was there for that game and will never forget it. In fact I wonder what our ex coach fantasizes about IF the G-Men actually win this game? Lots of story lines in this one like our OC vs. his mentor or Dak getting to finish what he started to do the last time he was playing the Giants…I agree with the posters who think this will be close…after watching the Saints blow that game we better be prepared for #26. Go Boys!!!!

-Giants will employ a similar defensive scheme like Philly/Chargers, but don't have many high end rushers. They will force teams to beat them underneath and drive the whole football field, rather then giving up the big play. Without Tomlinson and even more importantly Blake Martinez, they will struggle to stop the run. I expect more aggressive approach, where our receivers may see more man coverages. Score TD's over FG's and force the Giants to match score for score.

-Defensively is all about containing both Barkley and Jones on the ground. Make Daniel Jones and their OL beat us. Yes, they have a lot of talent at the skilled positions, but are breaking in new players due to injuries.

One of the first tests of a young team experiencing early success is their ability to be consistent and to stay focused week to week. Most of our up and coming stars on D are just now experiencing the NFL where the season is longer and every opponent can potentially beat you.

To be a good team in the NFL, you must have physical AND mental toughness. And it takes time to really know what your team can be. The early returns are good, but a lot of work and challenges lie ahead. There’s a reason the playoffs don’t start til January.
