Just went back and watched highlights of the first game. Kind of forgot how it went exactly.

The Giants took away the run game and put the game in Dak's hands. At times they manhandled our OL, mainly though they were able to bring guys into the box without fear of Dallas making them pay. While Dak had a good game for a rookie QB, he wasn't playing with a full playbook. Remember that in addition to stopping the run, they took away Dez, 1 catch for 8 yds. There was the one deep ball TD to Dez that got overturned but other than that we didn't really challenge them at all.

Our OL did give Dak time and if we can do the same I think it is different outcome this time. Dak will pick them apart. Hope to see us scheme some to get Dez on Apple. The big difference was 'Snacks" and Hankins in the middle clogging the run. Beasley and Witten should have openings in the middle of the field.

On our D, we were without Tank Lawrence and the great majority of the time our pass rushers were Mayowa and Jack Crawford. Yes, you read that right. Oh, and Wilber got some snaps at DE too. I think it is safe to say that we will get more pressure on Eli than we did with Lawrence and Charlton added to the pass rush. Our LB corps took a hit with Hitchens going down, by all accounts he was our second best LB through camp. The platoon of Smith and Durant should get the job done though. Scandrick is much better now than he was a year ago, when he didn't trust the knee and get run past by OBJ. I think the shoe is somewhat on the other foot this go around. OBJ may not have any lateral movement with his ankle issue. Brown has a full year at corner and Carroll knows the Giant receivers. Our biggest loss may be Church but he got victimized in pass coverage multiple times in the game last year.

I think the interior of the line will hold their own this year and the matchup of Lael against JPP and Vernon is going to be huge.

Second game last year, we were able to get the running game on track, but Dak had probably his worst game of the year with two ints and a fumble. Dez came up small again with only one catch, which he fumbled away.

Basically, Dez has to come up big in this game. He has been shut down and embarrassed the last couple games against the Giants.

Game should have been tied late, as Bailey missed a long FG attempt as ball bounced off the goal post.

24-21 Giants

I think Giants are going to be one of the best teams in the league this year. Beckham, Marshall, Shepard, and Engram along with that defense. I just don't think Dak is going to take apart that D.
Sorry, have to disagree. Granted the Gnats upgraded their roster this offseason, but that doesn't guarantee they'll have a better record than last year. The Gnats went 11-5 last season against a much easier schedule. This year, the Gnats have the 8th toughest schedule in the NFL based on last year's records, including 10 games against teams that had winning records. They also will travel the 9th most miles this season, with 3 separate cross country flights. Their first 7 games before the bye will be a major challenge. There should be a brief let up after that, but it's not as soft as the stretch of last season's schedule that led to eight wins in nine games.

With all of that said, the Gnats are going to stink it up this year. Cowboys finally win an opener vs Emily & his Senior Citizen tosses. 27-9

on what side of your mouth you say they have crap on the ground on the other side you ask who their runners are because you dont know.

sums up a lot.
I know who they are. I don't know who the three good ones are though.
You've spent two weeks talking about how the media think they're Super Bowl favorites and now you're saying they have an edge because the media thinks they're underdogs. Sums up a lot.

Bingo!!!!!!!!!........Interestingly though, even with them shutting Dez down, both games could have gone either way at the end. This is why I've said if Dez shows up and we avoid silly mistakes/ turnovers, we'll win.

...This looks like a job for ..".NostraCowboy!"...nyuk!

...it's still quite foggy... but I do believe I see No.21 playing in the game....I see a hard fought contest between two bitter foes on the field of battle!
I foresee the final score to be 24-17 Cowboys.....

Two biggest differences in our Offense vs their Defense;

Jonathan Hankins was a huge loss for this Giants DL, anyone thinking their run D will just pick up where it left off last season will be in for a rude awakening. He has been the one player who's consistently given Travis Frederick fits since coming into the league a few years back. Not having that advantage at the POA this go round should not be underestimated.

They will also not have the luxury of being able to stack 8 in the box this year with Landon Collins. Dez Bryant is finally healthy again, and you know he's salivating to take Janoris Jenkins' lunch on prime time television. It feels like Dez has flown under the radar this pre-season, but he's quietly had his best camp as a pro. I think he announces his return in a big way Sunday Night.

Cowboys 34
Giants 17

I think we will be fine on offense and score points. Our secondary worries me a bit because the rooks that were to replace the guys we lost have yet to really play. So its going to make it a close one with the Boys edging them out 23-21. Dallas needs to win this or the Giants will start to be one of those teams they will start to think that has their number and can't beat.

38-17 Dallas. Zeke and Dez go wild. The whole league will be on notice. Mara waiting outside of Goodell's office the next morning with a pitchfork in hand.

I always pretend you really are Ron White when reading your posts... lol
With a jigger of whiskey and cigar,,,I know, me too!
The best one he ever broke out with was when he'd went to the topless beach in France and was talking about the 98lb little old man that looked like he had a live squirrel in the front of his speedo swim trunks ,,, it was HILARIOUS hearing him talk about that,,,especially when he mentioned ' picture frame'

I'll say New York 27 Dallas 24.

I hope I'm wrong and I'm not real confident in that prediction but that's what my gut is telling me.

A few things that I'm pretty sure will happen are as follows:

We won't be able to get to Eli Manning at all and we'll be lucky to have a sack or two the whole ballgame.
We'll have a hard time creating turnovers.
Eli will throw a duck into the air that looks like a punt that will hang up in the air for 5 seconds and one of his receivers will catch it with no defender around him for 5 yards.
We will do ok against the run, but won't be able to get off the field on 3rd downs.
Zeke will get his yards and score a touchdown.
