I dont recall 8 men in the box, they were doing the same as NY and walking 6 or 7 up to the line and confusing Dak and the line. Can someone point out a play where they brought 8? I dont think it happened but dont know for sure, I think sometimes people fail to comprehend what bringing 8 really is.
I remember seeing a lot of four man fronts......................

We don't and the guy taking his place needs to step up. 8-man front means you need to make them pay by throwing deep, if blitzing hit them with a slant. No dump off 5-yards from the line scrimmage.

STHU

The Broncos knew they had to stop the run, which they did, but I didn’t see any extra help in the box to do so. Maybe the film will show different, but it appeared that the Broncos front seven physically took it to this Cowboys offensive line, which doesn’t happen often

Here Einstein count the numbers of orange jerseys in the box

Three 'pro bowlers' ... they better come out next time with their big boy pants on.
They come out every game with their big boy pants on. They sadly have to listen to the same 5 plays being called in the huddle

They put 8 men in the box and took away what Zeke does best.................run up the gut. I saw zero creativity getting him the ball in space or creative outside runs or sweeps much at all. He should have caught 10 balls yesterday.
Linehan is not known for his creativity. He's a "here we are, can you stop us?" coach, and when they start stopping him, he's at a loss.

Agreed. And our OL's greatest strength is run blocking. Cowboys came out to pass, pass, pass and pass some more. The running game was completely abandoned. Instead of dictating, the Cowboys got dictated. Happens way too many times on Garrett's teams, even when the talent is equal or better than opposing teams.

And enough with the RPO's on the goal line. Run the ball at least ONCE down there.
That's what I say they should have forced the Run game and kept it going all game instead of resorting to just pass pass pass

Well..............he is certainly more creative than Garrett ever was. Night and day.

I just keep coming back to Dez Bryant. He is just a disappointment to me. Feeds off of bad corners but gets shut up by the better corners in the league. Horrible route runner and can barely get open.

And the guy just looks for any reason to abandon the running game.
Yup I agree
I also believe that our recent past history has shown that a committed approach to our ground game is our foundation for success. It's who we are and where all our draft and cap resources have been allocated.
Cumulative runs of even one and 2 yard gains can take its toll on opposing defenses, adding in Zekes ability to deliver a punch at the end of these seemingly "unsuccessful" runs still wears a defense out over a 4 quarter game.
That whole horizontal quasi west coast offense crap they showed yesterday is not what they should ever try again.
If we are gonna concede to this supposed "8 or nine in the box" grandiose new defensive philosophy for stopping us then we might as well forfeit.
Linegan and the o line failed us yesterday. They need to get back in sync.

Dez works well within 15yds....youd think Linehan would figure out picks & crossing routes for #88 does wonders

Problem is that Dez is horrible at route running. He will get 1 on 1 matches but is unable to create separation.

youd THINK head clapper in chief would at some point stop linehan from making us all look stupid, but nope...he was on the same bandwagon. sheesh.

Exactly...........If a team is going to punk you like this and stack 10 guys on the LOS with a single safety high, we should have carved them up like a Thanksgiving Day turkey.
