I am pretty confident Jerry told him to see what his market is and come back to him. The market is telling us 11 million a season and he wants more then that, Cowboys would be foolish to pay more, if another team won't do the same.

I get what he's saying now. He tweeted recently that when he hears an offer he immediately cuts it at least in half for tax purposes.

I don’t think the 20 is true at least to the point where he was aggressively asking that- it does make sense to start high obviously but I’d be worried about giving him 12m with escalators based on performance. Seems like just a setup for him to be disgruntled

you set a price high and then settle at what you want so even if he did ask for 20 fine...you probaby wont get 20 a year

its busines...and for OBJ idc if i had two acl tears 4 million is a slap in the face...thats what third stringers make

If this is true and top offer is 5 million per or less, there’s a 100% chance he eventually signs here. I think he’s hoping the Chiefs or Jets jump in with bigger deals but I seriously doubt that happens.

Maybe I am crazy but maybe we should let Gallup earn his contract and Tolbert develop. We have a number 1 in CeeDee that will probably want top of the market pay. Let’s continue to draft and develop. Who knows Addison or someone like him could fall to 26.
