Objectivity, anyone?

Your post was "when was the last time you saw him do that", trying to imply that he wasn't capable and fishing for the typical Dak sucks reply. Instead, he did it multiple times today and you don't like someone called it out. It becomes even more ironic in a thread calling for some objectivity.

So you concede I never said the word “never.” In fact, I never made a declarative statement of any kind. I merely asked a question...although your answer was quite revealing. Thank you for that.

It’s agenda and emotion that cause you to see words and intent that aren’t there.

Why is it that Belicheat has gone to the superbowl with a 6th round QB ?!

Because posters here say that coaching can only do so much, and its the talent that matters .

Dak had a couple of INTs today and neither were his fault. The turnovers (3) cost us this game as much as anything else. Say whatever you want, it's true.

The receivers are doing fine.

Turnovers and miscues. Zeke ran great, too bad it was too often out of bounds. Then a drop. Then the fumble. Too many mistakes.

Seemed like Dak flat out missed a lot of passes.

The Gallup INT was Gallup's fault.

I'll give Dak the one to Jarwin. Jarwin had no separation, and the defender had help nearby. And the help was their best defender.

Some WRs are doing fine. Thompson has delivered. Austin. Beasley.

Gallup, Williams, Hurns, no. Not fine.

Spin it how ever you want, your intentions were quite clear.

Coaching was definitely a big issue, but it's all the little things that add up too. People want to blame Dak, but he makes a good throw and Gallup coughs it up, or the OL collapses and he has no shot at any kind of play, or Zeke steps out of bounds for what should have been an easy TD, Dak makes a bad throw and we run with Zeke who gets a big run then fumbles the ball. We can't overcome all that adversity when it's coming from multiple angles.

This is so true. They just need to all be consistently on the same page. So often big/good plays are negated by penalties or dumb follow up plays. Coaches need to do a better job at putting players in better position to stack good plays upon good plays and not outsmart themselves trying to be too cute yet predictable.

Gallup is a rookie and there are going to be growing pains until he can adjust to the NFL game. A little disappointed in Hurns, really didn't expect him to be a #1 type WR by any means, but thought he might work out to be a good possession type receiver. And Williams, really isn't much excuse for him, he just doesn't bring anything to the team.

The Cowboys turned the ball over 3 times today and were in the game until the end, in spite of the defense getting zero pressure on wilson today. The three turnovers doomed the team more than any other thing, including the inept OL.
In the game until the end? I don't agree. The Cowboys continue to have a 2nd and 3rd quarter scoring problem...and 4th quarter garbage time scoring propensity...once the opposing defense is paying more attention to the clock than the offense. With just 3:17 left to go in the game they were down 24 - 13 (before the 2nd Thomas interception off Jarwin). The offense crossed mid-field just ONCE in the first half...was 3-13 on third down on the day...and had 4.94 yds/att in the passing game on the day, where Prescott's targets were all inside 15 yards. None of the turnovers led to anything but punts (the two earlier ones led to two three and outs by Seattle). The game wasn't as close as the final score.

Those turnovers kill drives and lose the opportunity to score points. Zeke's fumble cost us points as we would have at least been in FG range. The game could have been close with the possibility of winning, but for all the mistakes.

This place is rapidly becoming a cesspool of negativity and anger. I have seen it bad before but right now it seems to be at an all time high in terms of knee jerk reactions.

Let's start off with Dak. He is a young QB. He isn't playing well, but his line is playing pretty putridly right now. When we forced Romo into retirement it was a mistake. We traded Romo for the shiny more toy and the luster is now worn off the toy. It was a serious mistake but that card has been played so you move on.

The receivers are doing fine. That won't be a popular opinion, but it's true. The problem is the OL isn't giving Dak enough time and Dak isn't seeing the field well, so it's a double whammy there.

The defense still played well, but where were all the sacks today? LVE seems to be really coming on. I'll give the defense a pass today but they were not as solid as before.

Seattle was a VERY desperate team and I knew it would be a tough out, especially in Seattle. Seattle is loud and it's a very tough place to play. Having said that we should have won today.

Coaching: Man you guys just ride the hell out of these coaches. Let's be real here--how are the coaches supposed to prevent the INTs and the fumble today.

Randy Gregory. Stupid people generally do stupid things. He is an absolute tool bag. I would try to trade him for something if the opportunity arises and move on from him.

It's a long season. We need to get to 2 and 2 next week and see what happens.

Side note, the Giants looked like a better team today. That win was bigger than it even looked last week. Think the fact that the Giants were 0 and 2 had anything to do with that tenacity?

I'm as frustrated as anyone here. We aren't playing well, at all, but we are not that far off. We need to consider helping out this OL in some way. It's the engine of this offense and right now, its sputtering.
Romo had a compression fracture in his vertebrate. Compression fractures usually never completely heal as there is almost always an underlying factor usually osteoporosis causing a thinning of the bone. There are times management and coaches have to make a decision on the players health and future, even if that player doesn't agree with it at the time. They made the correct decision...some things are more important than winning a game!

Coach Carrot in charge, I expect mistakes like that, hence we were not really in it. IMO Sea dominated us.

I'm fine with Gallup having limitations this year. Reasonable to expect that.

But give more snaps to the guys who are playing better. Beasley and Thompson seem pretty solid. Let the rest of the guys rotate on that 2nd wide out spot.

The Zeke stepping out of bounds for what should have been an easy TD, Gregory gifting them a late 1st half FG and Zeke's fumble all directly cost us points. Zeke's drop would have extended a drive, Gallups drop killed a drive, those may or may not have lead to points. Making that many mistakes, will lead you to getting dominated. This team has a slim margin for error and this game should have been closer than it was.

It's not a good sign of player evaluation when Thompson has been showing promise, but he was a guy that was cut from the original 53 and resigned. It also shows the confidence we have in this group when we resign Butler.

Totally agree with what you said, but when I see that many mental mistakes in a game, I blame the coaching. This team was not ready to play at all, hence Sea made us pay.

Good post. I concur with most of your points, although you DID paint a giant bullseye on yourself. Angry realists will attack in swarms, with accusations of excuse making, as well as probable taunts and knee jerk hyperbole from fed up fans. Let’s hope they right this ship so football can become fun again!

Coaching is a big issue. Starting with that Carolina game, it was like our players just met each other for the first time that game. It's like we never had a training camp at all.

I think both of those did have mitigating circumstances.

On Thompson, the fix was in. He was coming back after we put Brown on IR.

On Butler, indications are Williams will be suspended soon. Me, I thought we should have been targeting Butler more last year. I'm glad we have him back.

Now if they'd actually *use* Thompson and Butler as deep threats, we might actually have something.
