Since I live in Denver, I have the advantage of listening to the local radio talk about the Dallas-Denver practices. These are the tidbits I've heard from various hosts...

1) Denver looked a bit timid in yesterday morning's practice but they came out to play today. Lots of hard hitting and some scuffles.

2) One of the afternoon's hosts (a crotchety old man named Joe) said the floor on the Cowboys regular season was 11-5 and they could win as many as 14 games. He also pointed out that as of right now, Dallas in favored in 15 of 16 games this year, the only one where they're currently underdogs in against Pittsburgh, but at only a one-point spread, basically a pick 'em game.

3) The hosts this morning said that Tony Romo has the "look" of a star, just with the way he carries himself and that Jay Cutler is not there yet, but probably would be some day. He also said, after prefacing that he wasn't paying too much attention to our QBs (more focused on Cutler), that Romo looked "sharp."

4) Two of three hosts yesterday afternoon said that Pacman was correct in saying that Owens was better than Marshall (although obviously not ten times better) and that it was Moss, Owens and everyone else at WR. Overall, two of three were very respectful of Owens and said that they would love to have him on their team. The other host continued to rail on about how he couldn't forgive Owens for the way he treated former teammates and coaches -- the other two didn't want to hear it though.

5) Hosts said the difference in size between the teams was blatantly obvious, but amusingly said that the Broncos had the bigger QB and kicker at least.

6) Overall, very respectful of the Cowboys.

Thanks, 2233. It's nice to hear the perspective of the Denver media.

You're welcome, boyzmamacita! I think there is some carry over from the beating we laid on them last year. :)

I also live in Denver and listen to that same station...

The one thing they are doing constantly is talking about Adam Jones getting toasted by Marshall at every turn. I hear about it at least twice an hour.

Yep, I heard a lot of the same -
Joe is one old fart, loves his Texas Highschool Football though.
Irv, man he just serves no purpose but to list off people he knows from the 50's and 60's, most of which are dead.
Irv pissed me off the other day when he said just look at the Cowboys roster and you know the NFL is full of thugs. I sent him an email to set him straight, but never heard anything back.

That sounds very respectful of them.

However, the primary goal is to get out of Denver without any injuries. Knowing the history with their O-line I'm a little concerned.

Nah, I get a different take. Yes, they play the whole trash talking thing a lot but generally say it was all relatively good-natured (and even pointed out that Jones and Marshall hung out together in Atlanta). And Pacman is getting beaten by Marshall, but they have also pointed out that there is no pass rush on many of these drills. As Pacman himself said, no corner is going to be able to hang with a top-flight receiver when the QB has six seconds to throw.

Did you mean Dallas there? That's what the other posts on the practices seemed to indicate.

No, surprisingly, they were pretty critical of how Denver looked yesterday morning. They're pretty clear about where their teams stands -- they recognize that they went 7-9 and we went 13-3 and they've got a bunch of young, unproven guys.
