Who are they? I do not want to see a promotion of a current underling with the same tired offensive ideas. Just grasping at straws for some hope. Its been 15 years of zero creativity. Steal an offensive assistant from Minny/SF/LA/Buffalo.
 
Is there any one on staff currently that can do it?

That's the easiest fastest and cheapest option and they don't care to hire people who've never been connected with the Cowboys at some point.

They'll promote the RB's coach or something to OC lol, but WHY HIRE an offensive coordinator only to run the coaches offense?

to run HIS offense, not the OC's offense, things don't go well, FIRE HIM, and the head coach SLIDEEEEEEEES into the play calling position :facepalm: :hammer:

People have said he's a good coach.
While we're promoting people to random positions, why not.

There's zero chance we hire someone from the outside on this.

Right and if we do, it'll be someone YOU'VE NEVER heard of, it'll be the Saints quality control guy or passing game coordinator lol

Could be position coaches from teams left in the playoffs.
Then how would some feel. A winning coach from a winning team to come in and help.
That is how coaches develop.

But hey, fan favorites, as they know more than anyone else ever has.

No one good is coming to work with Shotty and Dak

You will get Shotty as OC and some low level promotion to OC to do the day to day stuff

Shotty and Eburflus with Dak at QB is going to be a fire pit by mid season

The hope would be they work with him to have a more versatile scheme and bring some ideas from better offensives. Again, just hope.
 
Let's hope hope hope he can get Anthony Lynn from Washington. At least he's a real coach who has had success in the league (more than Schotty). I don't know why he'd come though.
 
When Schotty was OC in Seattle Canales was the QB coach. We could only dream to get one like that
