Anyone think Sherman would be the front runner with Sparano and Garrett leaving?

If we lost both coaches yes I think Sherman would get the job. He has years of experiance as an assistant coach and I think the great relationsip with TO does not hurt. No doubt the passing game is the strenght of the offense and I would think Sherman would be a logical selection. Having said that I hope we don't lose both Garrett and Sparano

I agree. I think Garrett knows he's next in line to assume the HC duties in Dallas.

Isnt sherman a west coast guy? I am not sure he will take over the offense, but wade is very loyal and with all of shermans experience He will be in the mix.

I am hoping it is garrett however, he is part of the family here and belongs here.

He is the kind of guy that could get the job and would have it for over 10 years here.

I'll be more surprised if Jason stays...than if he leaves.

I think it would be difficult to turn down a HC position.

The only thing that makes him stay...

CA$H.

Would anybody be opposed to bringing Brian Billick in if Tony Sparano and Jason Garrett leave?

He has had some success in this league as a HC and OC.

Wonder how Phillips feels right now less than a full season into his stay in Dallas knowing that no matter how well he does in DAL he's going to get booted.

Yeah I know! Talk about worrying for stuff that you don't need to worry about.

Who says Garrett is leaving? I cant believe anyone would believe Jerry wont do everything in his power to not let that happen

including paying him near head coaching money while he is waiting to take over for wade

everyone knew when he was hired that he was the future HC in waiting

hell he was interviewed for HC before Wade was even around

No to Sherman. He's fine doing exactly what he is doing. He was a dismal failure the last time he was a coordinator.

Once Cam Cameron gets fired, I would hope we kept in touch with him if Garrett is leaving. That would be a pretty easy transition as Phillips has already worked with him.

I doubt Garrett is going anywhere however.

Wonder if Cameron would want to take Sparano's job in Dallas, if Sparano leaves? Or maybe Garrett wouldn't be comfortable with that . . . .

Cameron is not an offensive line coach. If Sparano leaves, that would be just as much of a blow as losing our running game coordinator.

I will say this, if Parcells clears house in Miami, Hudson Houck will be available again.

I would seriously consider him as a replacement for Sparano, at least coaching the offensive line.

That's also interesting.

Looks like BP might make all the key personnel decisions and then hire the GM. :laugh2:

Please no. I lived in DC for many years and can assure that Billick got fired for very good reason. His catch phrase when he came to Baltimore was "Trust me, I know how to develop Quarterbacks". Well, he could never develop a QB in Baltimore even though he was given his say on who to bring in and his offenses never ranked higher than 14th during his stay in Baltimore. He won as a coach because the Defenses carried his pathetic offenses. He should thank his D-Coordinators for keeping him employed so long. Oh, by the way, he got the job thanks to an awesome set of skill players in Minn including a receiving group of Moss, Carter and Reed and Robert Smith in his prime at running back. This self self-proclaimed offensive genious also cut Derrick Anderson, who lit it up in Cleveland while Billick's Free Agent pick-up (McNair) flamed out and his hand picked franchise QB (Boller) proved less than adequate yet again.

Given his excellent grasp of the English language (and he will tell you this to be true since he is so arrogant), he would excel in a booth calling games, but Jerry would be a laughing stock again if he were to go this route.
