Cameron is not an offensive line coach. If Sparano leaves, that would be just as much of a blow as losing our running game coordinator.

I will say this, if Parcells clears house in Miami, Hudson Houck will be available again.

I would seriously consider him as a replacement for Sparano, at least coaching the offensive line.

Good call. I would take Hudson Houck back in a second. Maybe we could actually run the ball again.

Todd Dodge would be an interesting name to watch out for if Jerry gets a chance to pick his guy. He's only been with North Texas for about a year but go look at the offensive numbers he's put up there in North Texas. The guy is very creative on offense & a nut when it comes to x's & o's on offense. An outstanding play-caller.

Cameron and Houck would be good replacements for Soprano and Garrett should they chose to leave, it's Ireland will have trouble replacing.

Yes but our pass protection would probably be horrible again.

Right now, we are a passing team.

We would be an NFL laughing stock if we hired him as a coordinator after only a year removed from high school football.

Not to mention he plays that awful spread offense. God I hate watching that stuff.

I think we all need to wait and see what happens with garret gone.

and if cameron gets fired, he maybe a good fit here, but this is garret's offense till he is gone...

I woulda taken Ray Sherman as OC over Sporano anyway.

omg what?

Why on earth would you do that? Sherman was a failure as a coordinator not to mention he ran a west coast offense.

Sporano has been nothing short of excellent here. He will be greatly missed.

I hope he is smart enough to stay away from that awful city and team in Atlanta, that is a place coaches go to lose.

Yeah Tony Sporano walks on water while Ray Sherman would bring nothing to the table - outside of three decades of experience. That and the fact that his players love to play for him.

This is a passing league and Sherman has been a big part of several top NFL offenses. If you wanna pigeon-hole him as a "West Coast Offense" guy that's your baggage - not mine.

I hear Bruce Coslet is available.

With Lacewell supplying the talent, it should be fun.

Why cant sherman just stay the wr coach? He is good at it and he is a good fit.

the more I think about this I wonder if some old faces will come back and some new faces will get promoted if Garret And Sporano leave.

If they are gone I bet there is a slight chance that:

Wade Wilson as offensive Coordinator
David Lee as quarterbacks coach...........returns from arkansas.
and I have no idea about the offensive line coach.

that would keep some consistency, along with sherman coaching wr, jon garrett coaching tight ends and skip peete as running backs coach.

I wonder if jon garret would get promoted here? Or would he go with his brother?

I'll be more surprised if Jason stays...than if he leaves.

I think it would be difficult to turn down a HC position.

The only thing that makes him stay...

CA$H.

Given the available jobs, that the only reason I could see him leave.

If he leaves, hes an idiot. Plain and simple.

Cam Cameron is my first thought, given Wade's familiarity with him and the similarity to what Jason runs.

But I really don't think both Garrett and Sparano are leaving -- only one. The other would be OC.

I still think there is an "understanding" between Jason and Jerry. Sparano on the other hand............

It basically made N.E. go 16-0 and perhaps even a super bowl appearance. I hate to break it to you, but Dodge is Josh Mcdaniels on steroids & to the other poster trying to make the case that we'd be a laughing stock bc a coach comes up from high school after a year in college is absolute bologna. Plenty of coaches have made their way up to the n.f.l. w/o even stepping in college to coach. Jason Garret wasn't even a darn offensive co-ord when he got the job. He had no previous experience but being a qbs coach.

dude your comparing apples and oranges.

Todd Dodge has never game planned against an nfl defense.

Steve spurrier is a proven college offensive mind, he likes to spread people out too, how did that work out?

and comparing dodge to josh mcdaniels is insanity. That is belichicks team, every bit of it. They can spread everyone out because they have an athletic line and the most dangerous wr in the game in moss.

New englands spread offense works in the nfl because of the trigger man and the abundance of weapons. Now the scheme dodge runs is similar just like whats his name at texas tech who belichick has a lot of repsect for, but you just cant play that in the nfl. Not yet anyway, in a few more years who knows.

and parcells offered dodge the tight ends job last year so I am sure he can coach at any level, but to make him the coordinator is silly.
