It basically made N.E. go 16-0 and perhaps even a super bowl appearance. I hate to break it to you, but Dodge is Josh Mcdaniels on steroids & to the other poster trying to make the case that we'd be a laughing stock bc a coach comes up from high school after a year in college is absolute bologna. Plenty of coaches have made their way up to the n.f.l. w/o even stepping in college to coach. Jason Garret wasn't even a darn offensive co-ord when he got the job. He had no previous experience but being a qbs coach.
dude your comparing apples and oranges.
Todd Dodge has never game planned against an nfl defense.
Steve spurrier is a proven college offensive mind, he likes to spread people out too, how did that work out?
and comparing dodge to josh mcdaniels is insanity. That is belichicks team, every bit of it. They can spread everyone out because they have an athletic line and the most dangerous wr in the game in moss.
New englands spread offense works in the nfl because of the trigger man and the abundance of weapons. Now the scheme dodge runs is similar just like whats his name at texas tech who belichick has a lot of repsect for, but you just cant play that in the nfl. Not yet anyway, in a few more years who knows.
and parcells offered dodge the tight ends job last year so I am sure he can coach at any level, but to make him the coordinator is silly.
