Oddly, this game was confirmation for me that the Cowboys are right there

We've been THIS close several times. I believe 4 to be exact. Maybe this is as close as it gets and maybe that's enough for some.
Teams either know how to win or how to lose. We know how to lose. It's a culture change and I'm not sure how they do it.

I just gotta say: It is funny how people can watch the same game and see completely different things... I don't think the cowboys are right there. The team is inconsistent, including its quarterback and lack the proper leadership to put a worthwhile effort in the playoffs. This team is sick and lacks the proper culture and leadership to win when it matters. The talent is not the problem in Dallas, but the attitude and heart required to win is just not here because there are no leaders.
I would add that next season I wouldn’t be surprised if they get passed up by teams like the improving Lions.

next year will be the same results in the end……except maybe they don’t get a “gift” playoff game by facing an 8-9 team they can beat and crow about. Same culture and same crap quarterback

Proud of perennial underachieving losers? I’d expect nothing less from the OP

Personally, I’m completely done with moral victories.
Underachievers?

Thats odd, I dont recall you predicting another 12 win season and a playoff win. Something tells me you were one of the guys predicting a shot back down around 500.

And if you thought we should have won this game on the road against the Niners than I have to question your ability to analyze football.

For me this team did about exactly what I thought they would. Niners were the better team.

If thats what you got over a blowout of the Bucs on the road and a hard fought close loss to the best team in the NFL, then that is your opinion.
Dak started off bad during the Bucs game as well. Brady was just so horrible it gave Dak a chance to come back. Football is a psychological sport, A better team than the back could of done an uppercut and Glass Jaw Joed the cowboys and Dak early on and this team would've never recovered. Brady looked a lot worse than any of us expected him to.

That 49ers rookie QB had ton of weapons around him. What did Dak have other than CeeDee?

I'll wait...
You think Joe Burrow or Mahomes wins this game? I do. I will wait for your answer and tell why I asked.

Nope. Thats about as good as a D can play on the road and about as good as an oline can protect vs a top defense and you scored 12 pts and for the 2nd time in 3 weeks were outplayed by a rookie QB. This game showed me we will never win with moore or dak or both.

Maybe it is, or maybe some people don't turn into peasants with pitchforks after a loss ? And Nate I am not calling you out. I don't like starting threads just to get them taken down or merged.

and this seems like a good jump off point. So we get ready to drafts some players that we need and we get ready for next season.

We get some help on both lines we do something like get Hopkins or some big name WR. We come back and try it again next season

The Cowboys are right there. Niners are just a little better. In a way I am proud of this team. They showed up today and for at least half of the game, we were the better team. It wasnt like last year where we got embarrassed. We lost, but unlike the gleeful homers I didnt expect us to win. Dak didnt have a great game by any stretch, but again, against the #1 defense on the road I didnt expect him to. Dak is NOT elite. Top 10 but not elite. I thought the defense played great, they just got tired in the 4th quarter. I thought the Oline had a great game.

This game was essentially over the moment Pollard went out. I was proud of the coaching staff. It ONLY took 4 years and one playoff game, but they finally figured out how much better Pollard is than Zeke. They started Pollard and were featuring him until he went down. Sadly we had to depend on the horrid Zeke and the first two drives out of the he basically had 2 yards and 5 touches with 2 dropped passes.

Without Pollard, I think its abundantly obvious that we simply dont have enough playmakers. If I am the Cowboys I find a way to resign Pollard and Shultz and I get out of the Gallup contract if at all possible without much penalty. I make WR a priority in the offseason along with another RB to go with Pollard.

ON the road, this was a game that would come down to a one or two mistake here and there and thats exactly what happened. 2 picks by Dak, which were NOT good throws at all. Even the tipped ball he shouldnt have thrown. But again, was he feeling pressed because we cant rely on our kicker? Who knows? Niners D had 3 chances for picks and they capitalized on two of them. Well done. Cowboys had two easy picks and dropped them both. It matters. If turpin goes to the outside on that kickoff return, he has a easy TD. A few little things here and there.

Cowboys are right there. Niners/Bengals in the SB. Bengals take it all.

No doubt the clowns will blame Dak, Moore, Cooper not being here, yada yada yada so lets hear it all.

This was a very good season and the Cowboys are heading in the right direction with a great young defense and are right there at the top of the NFL in that handful of 6 or so teams that are true contenders.
Such a dumb take

Dak critics are clowns, yet you didn't expect him to have a good game. Lol. Well, you were right, he didn't. But to be fair, he ONLY gave the Niners 6 points. Yeah not on Dak....no biggie. Next year he will break out for sure.
I wouldnt expect any QB to have a great game against the Niners D. If you did, then thats on you.

Where were you last week when Dak went for 300 and 5 TD's? Hiding?

I try to be optimistic during the season supporting our QB but this has gone on too long and Jerry is known for this. He allowed Romo to go on and on, he allowed Garrett to coach on and on, we may seem close but we are FAR off without great QB play, and that's what we need.

They are right there alright. Right on the sidelines again. Our culture is clueless. More Zeke than Pollard, our middle D line has been poor since 2017. Dak, Kellen. Not much hope there. We've seen this show before. I bet we are "rumored " to be in the D Payne and D Hop market. But it will Never happen. Jerry will offer potential for endorsements other teams will offer good contracts that works for both parties.
