Beckham will get fined, but not much.
He should have been ejected from the game with the head slap and spear.

He should be suspended. It is not that he has not done this kind of cheap garbage before.

He punched the Bills' Duke Williams and kicked the Rams' Alec Ogletree.

Not that I have much respect to lose for Goodell, but if he gets away with just a fine, it is complete favoritism for the Giants and the league poster boy.

And Coughlin is a hypocrite. He was the first one to whine about violating "unwritten rules" alleging that Greg Schiano was taking a cheap shot at Manning when the Bucs were storming the LOS when they were in victory formation a couple of years ago. But one of his own does it, he just shrugs his shoulders.

Beckham was out of control. Should have been kicked out in the 3rd quarter. That head shot he took at Norman was brutal. He won't be suspended, but he should be.

A couple of shoves into the body are one thing, that deliberate spear should result in a suspension.

Agree. The NFL is worried about "domestic violence" , well you just saw an intentional launch at a players head. No suspension & fine will clearly show you are all about " feel goods & PR" rather than player safety

Anyone defending Beckham should honestly be ashamed of themselves. That wasn't being tough or passionate. That was being absolute trash and showing no respect. He is hands down the most "me first" player in the league.

Anyone even attempting to equate Norman's actions with Beckham's clearly has an agenda. Bekham was the aggressor from the get go and it continued for three quarters.

Unfortunately it seems some of the posters here don't have any more class than Beckham showed today.

Enjoyed Normans post game interview , particulary his " prancing line". Norman came off as the adult, Odell the petulant child

If the NFL is serious about player safety and limiting concussions, Beckham will be suspended at least 1 game. I cant see how anyone justify that "play". Listening to Deion trying to chalk it up to competitive fire or whatever was comical.

Fortunately for the Giants, we know the NFL office is a circus and a complete joke. Mara is probably on his cell phone now with Goodell negotiating a "fair" penalty.

Deion is only protecting someone he has proclaimed as being great. The commentators have a hard time coming off of support , when something like this happens and needs to be condemned...

As much as I hate the giants, I've always respected coughlin. Lost some respect for him today. He should have taken him out after the head shot. The Giants as an organization looked bad today.

No. Winning is more important to him now.

His star taking head shots at opponents is secondary.

Now a bunch of whiny OB apologists are trying to paint the Panthers as "threatening" him because several of their players, Norman included, brought baseball bats onto the field pre-game.

Umm, they have been doing it for several weeks.

The ballerina is not special.

Next.

The obvious conclusion from all of this is that the Panthers aren't used to winning.

I've known that for a long time.

Same here...just reinforces what I have felt about him for a long time.

I have also came to the conclusion that he is more interested in trying to look great by only trying to catch one hand passes at time instead of using both hands when he can...I think he does it to show up on ESPN.

But that is just me.

Either way...I don't know how anyone can see his actions and come to the conclusion that it is the Panthers fault and they act like they have never won before. I could understand the sideline dancing and other stuff but not with the ODB situation with Norman.

Baseball bats? Really? Is that necessary? Act like you've been there before. I long for the days when players would just shut the **** up and play the game.

Beckham, Dez, Norman, Sherman, DJackson, JJenkins.....several others.

Why does the league tolerate this crap from these low-class tools? It's ugly to watch.

Amari Cooper. Larry Fitzgerald. Jordy Nelson. Brandon Carr. Many players know how to act, and it should be the rule across the league.

Does the league allow bats on the field?

Why wouldn't they? They can't use it during a game. It's symbolic like a chain or an axe or a spear.

They got into OBJ's head and he lost it. He should have been ejected.

Actually, they are pretty used to it by now. To the tune what equates to over a full regular season.

If Dallas were doing this, I doubt anyone around here would find themselves begrudging the team.

I don't think the Cowboys would bring bats out onto the field. At least not THIS group of Cowboys.

Could you imagine if Hardy came out with a bat and pointing it at people. Cowboys would probably have to forfeit the game

Lmao! Why stop at a bat? Let him come out guns blazing with a couple of machine guns.
