I don't want to rain on everyone's parade. I admit, the second half of the 4th quarter was one of the most clutch performances I've seen from EVERYONE on this team. Romo was amazing and had one of the most clutch throws of his career. Murray was gashing through the defense. Speaking of defense, our very own defense forced a quick punt to get the ball back after we scored, and then they shut down Washington after we scored our final TD to take the lead. And, I can't believe I'm saying this, but the play-calling was pretty bold. I thought we were going to abandon the run since we were down by 2 scores with about 8 minutes to go, but we started running the ball.

That being said, our offense was pitiful the first 52 minutes of the game. Playing 8 good minutes might beat the 3-12 Commanders, but it isn't going to beat the Eagles or any team we might face in the playoffs. Romo had 99 passing yards in the first 3 quarters; despite averaging 7.5 yards a carry, Murray only had 11 touches going into the final two drives of the game; and our offense only managed to score 10 points of the 31st ranked defense in the NFL (I'm not counting the TD set up by a punt return to the 3-yard line). It's easy to forget the first 52 minutes with how impressive the last 8 minutes were, but we can not have that type of performance again. Everyone wants to blame the defense, but they only gave up 23 points (which is less than the league average).

You do realize it is possible to qualify just about anything with the right "ifs, ands or buts", right?

Yeah that 93 yard TD drive in the 2nd quarter was awful.

Only TD drive of the game besides our amazing finish. Am I not speaking English? I'm not being irrational. Why do so many fans get butt hurt? I'm stating the facts. The offense was pitiful the first 52 minutes. We had 10 offensive points, 99 passing yards, and Murray only had 11 carries. I didn't make that up.

Youre right. We are going to have to put up points vs the Eagles. I predict its going down "Denver" style.

I guess you forgot that the other team gets paid too and wants to win just as bad?

I thought Dallas played well in the 1st half perfect no but 2nd qrt 6 plays 93 yard drive was not bad to put us up 14 to 6. 3qrt was the killer with the FB fumble then the int and then to start the 4th Dallas gives them a free 1st down on a personal foul call but holds them to a FG.

The offense scored 2 TDs in the first half...you can't cherry pick to suit your needs. And if you look at the facts you will see that going into those first 52 minutes the Commanders had only 1 drive that was less than 7 plays and almost 31 minutes of their 33 minutes TOP were in the first 3 quarters. Kind of hard to build up numbers when your defense can't get off the field.

Saw the same thing with my own eyes and mentioned it a few times. Man, our play-calling is so doo doo.

We suck against the blitz, especially when our pass plays are long-developing the majority of the time. We've never bea a blitz on a quick screen, outside maybe once or twice in the Garrett era and that too, because Callahan employed it.

Romo puts up 500 yards and 5 TDs and loses, and all you hear about is how he's not clutch.

Romo plays so-so most of the game and wins the game with a late clutch performance, and we whine that the offense didn't do enough earlier on.

Romo is having one of his best years ever (and protecting the ball), and this board is adamant that he's on the decline.

We are among the top in offensive scoring this year, and people complain about the offense not doing enough to help the defense.

What do people expect? This is the NFL. The Saints barely mustered 13 points last week. Tom Brady has a sub-90 QB rating this year. Eli and the Gnats are turnover machines. Personally, I'm very impressed with how good and consistent our offense has been year after year, even with the ginger stooge running 80% pass plays.

Uh, because of a punt return that put us in walking range right into the end-zone.

We were 7.4 ypc the whole first half I don't understand why we don't run to set up the pass, makes the game so much easier. Instead we run it tough one series and empty the backfield the whole next series. Lol what ever happened to keeping the defense off balance.

because sometimes facts are inconvenient and get in the way of a good story

Yep and skins started many drives in great field position. I thought defense did some good thing to hold them to those 6 1st half points.

We did dallas can't run every 1st down, heck to open the drive in the 2nd half Romo hit Dez in the hands and he drops it

Nobody is butt hurt but somebody sure is whining like a baby considering the Cowboys won the game.
