Not really, its how to use the run with the pass

play action pass off successful runs...

use draws etc after successful passing game...

shovel passes...

short, quick passes to dampen run and pass blitzes by going behind them...

etc etc

This is what I've been saying. Use effective running to set up the pass and vica versa. After success running Sunday we didn't use the play action on downs where the Skins were expecting another run. We didn't really use the play action at all - a RB may step up past Romo on a pass play, but no effort to sell a fake handoff.

Interesting stuff. I'm surprised New Orleans' pass percentage isn't higher.

Like many have said, this is becoming more and more a passing league. Which means having a good quarterback is critical.

The bad teams have bad or inexperienced quarterbacks. The good teams have good quarterbacks.

I noticed that as well, and am assuming....that, in many cases, they have been so far up on teams in the 2nd half that they run it a high percentage in the 4th quarter. Only speculation on my part though. You would think by looking that the numbes we are balanced in our play calling. It certainly doesn't seem that way.
