A move I'd like to make

If Kubiak doesn't get another head coaching job..... and I personally dont think he will.

It might be time to bring in a true OC.

Let Bill coach the O-line .... It's what he was brought here to do. And we know Kubiak will run the ball and get the most out of his Rbs

plus he runs the same zone blocking scheme.... so we wouldn't be switching systems

Although he uses the zone blocking scheme the offense is very different. And i think that would be a good thing. I would take him in a heartbeat.

As long as Garrett is here it will be his system in place. 1 year and counting

Yes. Garrett is an offensive-minded coach with a scheme he believes in (whether we do or not). I don't believe it's a good idea to bring in a coach who runs a vastly different scheme and try to mess the two philosophies.

Would love for Garrett to give up his scheme, but I don't see it happening.

It's kind of an odd position to be in. I get that Garrett wants to run his scheme, but if he doesn't (or isn't allowed) to call his own plays...what's the alternative?? It's not like there's some big Jason Garrett coaching tree we can just pluck an OC from.

The only two things that make sense are to either let Garrett call his own plays again or hire a new OC and let him run his own scheme.

What do you mean 1year? Maybe I am misunderstanding what you mean. His system has been in place for 7 years without improving.

Bringing in a big name is only going to create a further circus in my opinion. I could see the headlines already debating who is really in control of the offense and when Kubiak would take over for JG if the team is struggling. Might as well keep keep Callahan at this point when you think about it. Let JG and Callahan go down with the ship this year, no point in bringing in another O coordinator if the head coach isn't going to be retained if the team loses.

I think Dallas has to hire a coordinator who meshes with Garrett's system. One who can tweak it instead of trying to overhaul it, because I don't think Garrett will allow an overhaul (which is where some of the issues this year surfaced IMO with Callahan calling the plays). Someone from the Air Coryell coaching tree would probably be the best fit because it has a lot of the tendencies of that system, although it's a mishmash of some others as well.

Garrett can have whoever he wants as OC. It's put-up or shut-up time for him, final year of contract. Let him shine or let him go out with his boots on.

Kubiak or Chud would be good choices, heck they'd be a better replacement at head coach.

I do not want to change the terminology for play calling nor make huge changes in the offense. We need to stay a timing offense in general but with more of the media perception WCO and the spread. I don't think you can run a true pistol with Romo but you can run a few plays out of that and I'd like to see Wilcox run it on occasion. And we need to run the ball more even some occasionally with the box stacked. There are things to do with Dez in motion that would help him and we should look at improving the H and F back. We need to throw the ball a tad more down hill and be less predictable. Add some trick plays in there too and be surprisingly daring at times.

Norv would be the best fit because it will only be a tweak, not an overhaul. Kubiak is just as bad as Garrett, very stubborn.

I don't think we get a new OC anyways, probably would have happened by now before the good ones are snatched up.

I believe he meant 1 year until Garrett is gone.
