Offensive hot take

Let Gallup walk in the offseason. Wilson becomes the #3 and is more than capable of filling that role.

Cooper, Lamb, Wilson is still one of the best trios in the NFL.
Wilson played great from what I saw. He always plays like this when given the chance so totally agree. Surprisingly. :D

Dak killed my fantasy team! :(

Levar Burton or whoever that QB for Baltimore is killed me too.

The passing game did not look good yesterday without Gallup…

Coop disappears too often, and now they are doubling Ceedee.

We need Gallup

I have been a fan of Gallup since the draft process. Ced is solid but he isn't Gallup. So, I would rather keep the band together BUT if you can't make it work with all the other weapons we have, you've got a bigger problem.

Ideally, sure, keep the band together. But unfortunately we have some cap implications on the horizon and you likely can't sign Gallup and keep Cooper. Some will advocate cutting Cooper, but to me, Cooper is our best WR.

They didn’t look good, because San Diego played deep cover 2 zone all day. That’s typical Dak against this type of coverage and why we struggle when it matters. It’s nothing new. Dak sees man looks all day, especially against bad teams that are often forced to blitz to generate pressure up front as well, but the blitzes are often ineffective, because of not only the OL, but Zeke as a pass blocker.

This shows why our RG and blocking game are the real engine that makes this motor run and if we are going to make any noise, it comes down to the RG in December, while the defense generates TOs.

It happens irrespective of the WRs. People are fooled by the paper Tiger that is Dak and they make excuses about his teams, but in reality the team hides his flaws.

Again, this has always been Dak, including in 2018 when they got Amari. The numbers shot up in man, but Dak was his typical, conservative risk averse QB against zone. Against the Colts, he posted zero points and he couldn’t find Amari to end the season. This happened as well when they played a HORRIBLE Tampa defense that also relied heavily on zone. Notice in this game he didn’t even try and exploit the middle, where the zone can be exploited downfield. He had little pressure for SDs front.

The reality is most teams will just settle playing pretty much man against Dallas, while thinking they can also create pressure up front, but that never works. Especially with Zeke also as a legit pass blocker.

Not sure how hot this take it, Syd. I think this is what is expected more or less.

I think many believe they will cut Cooper since the dead money isn't all that much and sign Gallup for cheaper. I guess we will see.

Not to take anything away from Gallup … he’s a very good player, but the passing game did not look bad yesterday, it just wasn’t the focus of the game plan. There was just much more of a focus on the running game.

Coop has a great game, then catches one play and goes down for several games. Time to move on from him.

True, it was odd they didn't restructure his contract. I'm with you, though. Really want to keep Cooper if we can. He's the best WR on the team.

we aren't going to pay Gallup so Im planning on him being gone. Wilson replaces him just fine. That's not a knock on gallup just praise for Wilson
