Offensive offensive line

Our offensive line looked like they were blocking a play designed to go to their left. (Look at their first step)

The defense stunted to their left (opposite direction of our OL) so you would think we have a big play coming

The center missing this block is what destroyed this play.

One play. I have no idea what the Cowboys OL was thinking. They had an overload on their right side (4 on 3). On the snap Jonathan Allen charged inside to his left. It looks like Biadasz and McGovern were supposed to double team him, but when Biadasz blocked to his right and Allen moved inside to his left, Biadasz whiffed and McGovern had no chance to get to him. Biadasz should have anticipated Allen's charge to the inside based on the Cowboys alignment and the WFT alignment. If he cuts Allen off, which would allow McGovern to get in on the block the play may have gained a few yards.

I am guessing Washington watched some film of the Cowboys run blocking schemes and noticed the like to double the DT with the C/LG. Washington expected it which is why Allen was jumping to Biadasz's right to avoid the double team. I bet even Allen didn't expect Biadsz to miss completely.

That's the one thing I don't like about how Dak operates. I wish he would be like Brady and go off on the Oline. You see Tampa Bays Oline block for Brady like you would for a Dictator with your life in his hand. Dallas O-line just seems to show up for a paycheck.

The offense has a specific play they are running and the decisions are made where to go before the snap.

Same with the defense.

Everyone on the offense’s first step was to their left.

Washington stunted away.

That is the # 1 reason our center looks so out of position.

A lot of this is good design by Washington because even if our center gets his block this play is going nowhere. Maybe 2 yards.

Problem is the O-line coach and Moore.IMO. Dallas should run more trap blocking. Especially when Zeke is in there.

I don’t know what the down and distance was on that play. 7 blockers versus 7 defenders at the line. Just look at who is on the ground after whiffing. #63 Biadasz and #78 Steele. Both were horrible on that play.

Can’t win with this kind of play.

Biadasz absolutely sucks! He takes the wrong angles, gets beat or whiffs a lot. This guy clearly doesn't get it in his cabeza. This has been happening all season long. Week 15 and he is still committing such boneheaded mistakes.

I've been saying all season long, Cowboys need a better Center.

Hey, Philbin, quit being a hard headed mule! Your way is not working. Get someone else in there! 4 games left...perfect time to get another Center in there and get them ready for the playoffs. Biadasz simply doesn't have IT.

Its because the play is designed to reach block and the defense stunted the opposite way.

This play is just trash on our end really. Props to Washington because the inside and outside had nowhere to go.

Everyone on Dallas is blocking like this is a run play to the left that could possibly bounce outside but Washington had the gap filled.

Still doesn't excuse TWO interior OL for completely whiffing on blocks. McGovern doesn't even touch anyone. Biadasz can easily block Allen and totally whiffs. So it's not all play design there versus what Washington was doing. Biadasz is slow out of his block, appears his head is down and Allen just basically pushes him aside.

According to PFF the Cowboys O-line is ranked #1, so they got that going for them.

FWIW, they have the Chiefs rated at #4. The Chiefs ran the ball with someone not named Mahomes 17 times last night for 54 yards.

The Chargers, with their 10th ranked o-line, ran the ball 39 times for 192 yards.

Just some interesting facts for your perusal.
