Offensive Pass Interference against Carolina

I have come to the conclusion after these opening 3 games, hamlin is the worst starter we have and the one most in needed of being removed as soon as possible.

He offers nothing. He is a bad tackler, he takes terrible angles, On every deep ball he is completely beat, he is constantly guessing...wrong and out of position.

I could go on and on. He is just a flat out lost cause imo. He looks like a major achilles heel going forward against good teams with weapons like philly, atlanta, new orleans, san diego and the giants.

Agreed.

Hamlin has to be the worst safety in the enitre league right now, seriously.

hahaha.

The worst part of that play, though, was Hamlin's attempted tackle. What's this throwing your shoulder into him? Freaking wrap-up.

He apparently has taught this same technique to his teammates. I hate it when they don't wrap up. It's almost like they're afraid to tackle. I hope this is fixed by the coaches. And soon.

Did you notice our DB's getting up on the Panthers receivers quite a bit instead of just letting them off the LOS clean?

It made all the difference in our D tonight.

I noticed this too. However I still never saw Jenkins get a good jam, but I wasn't watching for it every play.

when the WR has his arm extended out and elbow locked, you bet the refs are gonna call that. there is no excuse for him to miss that. i didnt think it was at first but after seeing the replay, it was pretty obvious to me.

By the end of the year, Ken will be the worst Hamlin on the team.

He may already be, even with two non-broken arms.

I would seriously think about giving Alan Ball a chance.

I know it would hurt us in the run game but he has looked like a different player at that Safety position.

Im going to watch the game again tomorrow night and see if its as bad as I thought.

Hurt us in the run game? Because we all know the stellar job that Ken is doing in that department right?

Alan Ball wraps up!

Ball had a really nice open field tackle tonight. He actually wrapped up. What a concept. I wish he would share it with his teammates.

I was at the game and it was clearly offenseive PI. I knew it as soon as it happened.

I hope you enjoyed yourself despite the low score. A win is a win and we needed it badly.

I'm just glad Wade didn't lose confidence in our CB's...

I was sure after his comments about our man-to-man D last week that we were gonna see a TON of zone.... but I saw a lot of man tonight.

Agreed. On this play, and many others for that matter, it's as if he doesn't grasp the concept that he is the last line of defense. Guy running down the sideline and you throw a shoulder? You know you are bad when the announcers are pointing out how you are out of position -- he seems to freeze and not break left or right til its too late.

As for the PI, all you have to see is how the turf kicks up from Jenkins feet as he tries to stop his momentum from the push to see it was blatant.

Easy offensive PI call. Mushin pushed off and clearly nudged Jenkins out of position who would've easily made a play on the ball.

The bigger part of that play is Hamlin's shoddy technique nearly cost us 50+ yards and 7 points. He's by far the weakest link on the starting defense. What good is a FS who cant cover, not only cant tackle and is seemingly always out of position or a step late???

The announcer on The Fan (don't know his name) was saying that it wasn't pass interference. IMO, Jenkins was almost bent over by the guy. He clearly pushed Jenkins out of the way. I don't mean the subtle Michael Irvin push off. To me it was blatant. What do you guys think?

Come on, no way could anyone, not even the most ardent Carolina supporter say that was a bad call.

What is the Fan?

Speaking of which, the same announcer who said it wasn't pass interference was also going on about how this team has a lot of problems. Certainly the Cowboys do, but this guy was talking with venom as if he was upset that Dallas won. Who is this main guy over at The Fan? I'm surprised he's on the payroll. I mean, it is supposed to be the Cowboys station.

Ok that answers my question.

I enjoyed the Cowboys Stadium experience....the game not so much!

No kidding. They need to take our dBs to pop warner practice somewhere at a Dallas youth league and teach them basic football tackling techniques.

Muhammad arm was extended when he pushed off it was not a hard call to make and the ref was right there to see it.
