Stupid? They already had pick 1(in the fourth) so they can still probably get the guy they were eyeing in the third and then they still get pick 12 which should still be a good talent pool. Then next year they should have a pretty good pick in the fourth (its Detroit).

They got Detroits 4th round pick (#111) and thier 4th round next year.

You don't slide down and out of a round for equal compensation in the next years draft. If they would have gotten a third it would be different.

All they did was take a fourth for going into the fourth.
