Week 11 against the Texans will be the week McCarthy is fired.

They could be 3-7 and the hot seat will be broiling.

The first half of the schedule is going to be tough; the second half pretty easy depending on what is going on in the NFC east. I could see 4-4 and then going 6-3 maybe 7-2; if the NFC east is still weak. If not then 9-8.
No such thing as “easy” in the NFL. It will be a 17 game war.

9 games against playoff teams last year.

Browns, Ravens, Steelers, Texans, 49ers, Lions, Bucs and Egirls twice .

Not to mention the Bengals .

If we win half of those there’s 4 or 5 losses. And we know we’ll get upset or blow some against lesser teams. Over/ under 10 wins.

If we're a similar team to last year, I'm seeing 10 wins, maybe 9. Maxed out at 11 if we upset a team. I'm ignoring all X factors. Just going by what they've done to improve the team. Nothing.

Eagles finish with 4 of 5 games at home. Imagine that.

I do like the layout of our schedule though. We finish at home for something like the 8th time since 2000.

11-5-1 East champs.

Wild card round : easy win
Divisional round : Get lucky and play a b/u qb and a banged up opponent and get a comfy win.
Championship game : Get marmalised.

Yeah. Well. McCarthy's toast instantly if how they poorly performed at the end of last season spills over into week one this season.
I'm waiting to see if he rolls out a disciplined unit because any sloppy play will get Zimmer hot.

Good point. Maybe Mike Zimmer will eventually get so angry that he will end up taking a swing at Mike McCarthy--a la Buddy Ryan and Mike Ditka back in the day, lol.

The perception of SOS changes as the year develops, but I'm not optimistic.

The best cast scenario is that the OL returns to 2013-2017 levels-- then maybe I can see 8 or 9 wins.

But I'm thinking double digit losses this year.

More likely that he has a good season and gets a new contract.

My prediction:

Based on 2 factors

1. We can say what we want about Dak in playoffs but he is a great regular season QB and knows MM system well

2. I expect the defense to have fewer TOs but be more disciplined and physical which will not be sexy but translate into wins

11-6
Make playoffs, then who knows

They don’t even have to get on a plane after week 12

12-5 4th season in a row with 12 wins and a trip to the NfC championship game, and possibly the Super Bowl.
Nah ...... 10-12 wins and a first round exit in the playoffs ....... its what this team does ....... unless their is an 8-9 team in the first round we face, then maybe we get past wildcard.
