  • Juanyeh Thomas.. Made The Cut..Welcome Young Fella
S Juanyeh Thomas lost his childhood home to a fire his father set. He, his mom and siblings slept in a car at an interstate rest stop. Today’s 53-man roster is a step toward long-awaited stability. “I have a chance to break a generational curse.”

Would be awesome if he becomes a player, gets a big contract and buys his mom
And siblings houses.

I'm so glad that they got rid of Joseph.
I'm indifferent to it. Most likely he was never going to move the needle so it's not like we're losing anyone special. We essentially traded him for a version of himself that still has not proved himself after three years. I'm OK if we were going to get rid of him with giving that player a try, though. I just think I'd rather see how it played out with Joseph than get an older version of him.

Th kicker looks good. He has been kicking the ball straight with good strength.
He's just got to figure out the long stuff. He's got the leg for it, but I think his form changes when he has to kick long because he doesn't fully trust the process. From 50 and in, he stays true to his mechanics and is steady.

My genuine hope is that they intend to trade Gallimore for a backup center or LB. That’s just so many 3Ts

Happy for Lupe, but for all celebrating keep in mind that he's till on the bubble, he may just be holding a spot until they bring in someone else.

Todd Archer just reported Matt Waletzko and Nahshon Wright will go on short term IR tomorrow and that will open up spots for Chuma Edoga and Trent Sieg.

No report on C.J. Goodwin. Possible Dallas is moving on from him??
He will go on PS. We've done it before.

If this is true, they are insanely light on the OL. I wonder about waiver wire pickups or maybe they trade someone like Gallimore straight up

He’s already a player. In the 3rd preseason game there was a slot receiver that cut in and from the replay angle you could see Juanyeh playing zone…his reaction time was absolutely insane…like…microseconds. Then closed on him with the ball in the air and got the PBU. I was so impressed. He’s all instinct

I honestly think Thomas will be at minimum an outstanding backup true FS with ceiling of being a pro bowl caliber starter.

I guess but Bell is really a S but listed as the 4th LB. So even if you assume Parsons at LB, they still only have 4 true LBs. I am curious to see if they are gonna search the cut lists for a vet LB or two. If LVE goes down, whew boy, there's nothing but question at LB. And I like Clark but he's still an unknown.
I wonder if, now that Overshown is out, Anthony Barr is a possibility?

If they did that's a mistake I know he put on weight but if we ask him to rush the pastor every time we know how that ended last year we wore his *** out
I wonder how many times he’ll get thumped by a bible!

Isaiah Land is the only one I think should have made it. The roster pretty much is what we expected though. not many head scratchers there.
Farniok puzzles me because we don’t have a backup center.

Mike McCarthy was asked about the lack of a backup center at his press conference today. His response to the reporter was, "Ask me again tomorrow."

Obviously, the Cowboys have something in the works to get a backup center - either from other team cuts, or perhaps trading a player for someone. McCarthy also mentioned that the front office staff will likely be up all night working on fine tuning the roster. It's not done yet.

I think that Luepke will be a major part of the team. Outstanding skill set, receiver, blocker, and runner.

I think Edoga is the vet backup plan, so I'm not expecting any changes. You have the vet and then a young left tackle and young guard. The only thing we're missing is a center backup and I think we'll end up with that on the practice squad. Not saying I necessarily agree with the plan, but I believe that is it, especially since the team is likely to move Tyler to left tackle if Tyron is sidelined, which means Edoga would be inserted at guard.

That's interesting. Maybe there's more to it than just putting the centers on the practice squad.

Enough potential there to risk letting him waivers.

I actually think with Luepke there and if Vaughn gets some action and shows promise...

IF Dallas needs to sign depth at another position, RIco Dowdle may be a guy they'd cut

I think Dowdle may be in that role, holding the spot for Ronald Jones

Could be. Dowdle will have the most on the line as the primary backup for Pollard. If he doesn't shine given a series or two in the first two games, then Jones II gets a shot at the job. I don't think we want either Luepke or Vaughn to have to be relied on as more than specialty or No. 3 backs this year, although I wouldn't be surprised if Vaughn elevates himself.

People was worried about Lupe being cut, goes to show who's really controlling the roster.
