Official 53 man roster

Sieg, Edoga, and Goodwin's return.

So we know Wright is one guy headed to short term IR. Who are the other two injured players? Waletzko was healthy enough to play over three quarters against the Raiders.

Unfortunately I think the Cowboys make two more cuts instead and this forum will explode tomorrow if Hunter Luepke is one of them.
Why are we hanging onto Edoga? Maybe we can trade him for a bag of oranges when he gets healthy.

Edoga has actually played well in the NFL when he's been healthy, which is a rarity itself. And he offers position flex.

I know he had a rough camp but lining up against Micah Parsons every single day can make anyone look bad.

Todd Archer just reported Matt Waletzko and Nahshon Wright will go on short term IR tomorrow and that will open up spots for Chuma Edoga and Trent Sieg.

No report on C.J. Goodwin. Possible Dallas is moving on from him??

Now that Farnniok will ply his trade elsewhere C is a really key position who is the current backup ?

Land was in the opposing backfield the entire preseason and Farniok was a reliable C/G depth . Neither will clear waivers .

Right about Land but Farniok will be on the practice squad. The NFL is full of backups of his caliber. Was pushed around- sometimes badly- the first two preseason games before doing well against the Raiders.

We will see. With injuries he would be good on the PS . Who’s backing up Biadasz ?

  • Juanyeh Thomas.. Made The Cut..Welcome Young Fella
S Juanyeh Thomas lost his childhood home to a fire his father set. He, his mom and siblings slept in a car at an interstate rest stop. Today’s 53-man roster is a step toward long-awaited stability. “I have a chance to break a generational curse.”

If Farniok and Hoffman end up on the PS the Cowboys can call up both several times. By midseason they will likely make room on the 53 for one of them.

Also remember teams can protect four players on the PS from getting poached every week. Farniok could be one of those safe guys.

Just speculating...

Dallas might take a look-see at Igbinoghene and then kick him to the curb to make room for Goodwin. There is nothing lost by trading Joseph for Igbinoghene so Quinn can get an up-close look at him, but he may not last long on the roster. At the very least, it wouldn't shock me if he gets cut when Wright gets healthy.

I agree about Igbinoghene and Wright. If the new guy is good the Cowboys can just leave Wright on IR all year and stash him.

As for Goodwin he's a special teams only guy and hardly if ever plays corner. If the Cowboys don't re-sign him tomorrow he's probably gone.

I think the ‘played well’ narrative is a myth.

Could be but I read he graded out highly in his time at guard in Atlanta last year (very small sample size).

His career sacks allowed and overall grades look bad but they are also heavily skewed by a horrible rookie season. Edoga has trended steadily upwards since then.
