Again so many crybabies on this forum. Defense had a hand in this loss as did play calling late in the game, etc.

Dak is what he is. He did not single handily lose this game. He had a nice drive to put us in the lead. I don’t even know how some of you consider yourself fans.

Add to it, slow and no pocket awareness from a QB that insists on throwing from the pocket in key situations. By the time he decides to not throw to wide open receivers, the pocket starts to collapse and its all over because he is too freaking slow.

I'd agree with this 100%. And whilst I love Zeke.. he is overpaid for what he has produced and the role we have him playing. I'm surprised we are still chasing WRs when we let a WR walk out because we couldn't afford him.. but now we might have to pay more in the hopes of getting some support for CeeDee..

However the key is that you usually can't have an elite QB (or paid elite QB money) AND an elite defence. If your QB is taking 20% of the cap.. then it doesn't leave a lot for others. I would also be reluctant to let Zeke walk.. I think he has been underappreciated this season and he has been crucial to any success we've had. We have to find a way to keep Pollard. So where does the money come from?

I agree that it is time for us to seriously invest in the Defence with both draft capital and cap spending.

I have said for years.. I dream about what a real QB could do with this team.. with this run game.. this OLine.. these wide outs.. the TEs we have had. The sheer talent we have assembled on offence over the last 7 seasons for Dak is impressive.

FWIW.. I do think that Lawrence is the real deal.. so composed and calm in the pocket and the arm talent.. wow.
