***Official Day THREE draft thread***

so RB isn't a 'position of need', when we were essentially a running team last year? Ryan Williams has barely played in the NFL after being injured most of his career... McFadden was let go by Oakland and got outplayed over there. Dunbar has never been spectacular. Randle is decent, but who knows if he can carry a full load. I fail to see what theme we are running with this year as a team. So we're going from a power running team to what?

Then stop tagging me in posts for absolutely no good reason, stop putting words in my mouth, and for once do SOME actual thinking before posting. Grow up, child. The fact that you're still whining about a discussion that happened a week ago is pathetic. Move on.

With the number of LBers we already have on the roster, we obviously have a couple that the staff want to see gone.

I still really want a DT, but based on the way we've been drafting, I think we get a return man in the 5th. We seem to be addressing areas where we lost players or need players for the future. My prediction is the next pick is offense: either we take a chance on Ajayi or go with a WR with return skills... But what I really want is a DT. There are still a lot of good DTs on the board who won't be there when we pick again in the 7th. Jarrett, Bennett, Davison, Philo, Hardison, Covington.

LOL at everyone panicking about RB. Trust the coaching staff and organization.

I hope Grady Jarrett falls to Dallas in the fifth round.

Please Jerry just make it happen.

Remember how Brandon Roy retired early due to his knees? Ajayi is already at that point.

I'm getting the feeling they're smelling themselves thinking they're smarter than everyone else.

They might not get one now, but I bet ya they get one next year when this collection of crap fails to produce at a high level.

They probably want to go back to a pass first offense.

to be fair McFadden never had near the offensive line talent he has here

Randle is the only real starting HB option we have on the roster

Not sure why. Randle was not very good two years ago, but successful in a backup role last year.

To me, Dallas acquiring McFadden showed the Cowboys weren't satisfied with the options they had, at least without throwing a veteran in the mix. I have to think now that the plan is to give McFadden the first shot at the position without it being promised to any of them.

I don't really like this pick. I do agree that LB is a position of need, but he's not a LB I would take in the 4th round

Neither was Hitchens at the time. But looky how that turned out. I trust McClay and the scouts over all our so called pet cats.

Did Jarrett, Bennett, and Hardison collaborate together to fail a drug test, beat up a woman, and post 9/11 tweets?

I would not be surprised if they are targeting a RB after the draft. Jerry said it was not critical they come away with a RB in the draft. He did not say the position was not critical.
