***Official Draft Thread Day TWO***

49ers are toying with everyone...to some degree.
Great lineup, yet they may have 3 new starters in this draft. Unreal.

SF is on a roll.

But things are going to change... just like they are with Seattle with young "cheap" players becoming not as young "expensive" players. That's just how the system is. When you have a young QB go from like a mil per season to like $15 mil per season.. well that's just part of the transformation from having an edge over other teams to being... well, just another team.

it moves like this that deserve tons of scrutiny....It may be completely warranted, but if you get 2 starters on a dline/safety/or Mason/Garrapolo, etc. I hope it works, but trade ups haven't worked great for Dallas

I think people overscrutinize moves like this when none of us knows how it will turn out. Last year, people overscrutinized because Dallas traded down when it could have had Sharrif and took Frederick.

Oh, no! What were the Cowboys thinking?!

I'd rather trust that there is a good reason for making a move like they did tonight. That their scouts have done their homework and they've gone through all the scenarios and have decided this is the best move they can make to get an impact player.

People get gunshy after trades like the one Dallas made for Claiborne (and the final chapter isn't written on that yet, either), but if your the organization, you've got to trust the effort you've put into preparing for this moment.

Dallas had last night to get ready for today's rounds and knew coming into it that it absolutely wanted Lawrence. Let's see how that works out before we pan the move.

I'm in total agreement,Gimme.

Yeah. Let's also see how Manziel works out in Cleveland before we pan that move..

Didn't like the Gints taking the Syr guy. I requested he go to the AFC.

If I'm Jerry, I start working the phones to see if the Niners will dangle one of their picks this round plus a 5th this year to look at Nix. Despite his injuries to end the year, the guy has a lot of talent.

Except they have an obscene amount of picks to use to replace those players that are going to become more expensive. No doubt Kaep is going to cost more but they'll also get rid of Gores salary after this season and strengthen the roster.

We are in the third round and already the tv coverage can't keep up. Yet they want this stretched to four days? Get outta here.

Minnesota has been killin it. Anthony Barr, Teddy Bridgewater, and Scott Crichton... I'm jealous

No they got Fred AND Terrance Williams. Its a call that either gets high praise or could get someone fired. In a deep draft, and a team with many holes, solid quantity is needed....If you get D-Ware 2.0 - great!!!!! - good call. High risk
