*** Official Fire/Hate Garrett Thread ***

I just knew they were going to score on that drive...then they threw the fade and I was like...what?

Terrible play calling on that series.

It's sad that we've wasted all these years with him as our playcaller. The guy is just absolutely clueless and today is another example.

Didn't have the team prepared and wasn't prepared himself when it was on the line.

He is one of the worst situational coaches i've seen at any level. It's a joke at this point.

I didn't have a problem with the 4th-and-1 shotgun alignment. It did look to me like Prince had an armbar on that 3rd-and-1 call, too, though Troy was pretty sure that was just excellent coverage.

Garrett had a couple of fantastic play calls on the goal line today that people are completely forgetting, by the way.

I thought it was good coverage, but the flag getting picked up is a mystery to me.

The guy standing five yards from the play made a judgment that it was pass interference, I don't see how he could be overruled by a group of officials that didn't have as good of an angle.

The worst part is we needed to run clock, as Aikman said. We had already advanced well into their territory, at 2nd and 1 we should be happy to run the ball. Burn clock, or make them burn a timeout. I certainly wouldn't feel comfortable giving the ball back to Eli with 1:20 left and multiple timeouts, up 3 (if they got the conversion).

I doubt any of that even crossed his mind. He's awful, the worst coach in the league bar none. And this will be overlooked and forgotten by the front office.

Garrett did a great job tonight. The reason we lost was because of the many turnovers in this one. Garrett didn't secure the ball bad like Felix and Dez didn't. Didn't throw the bad passes Romo did. Didn't run the bad route Dez did early that led to the pick etc, etc. We had a great defensive game. Really didn't give the Giants anything. We had a good game plan against the Giants. Just had some bad, bad mistakes that are all on the players.

These 2 clowns collectively have cost the Cowboys game after game and enough is enough... We should have never brought in Big Red, he was more than fine as a Coordinator... We make Phillips the scapegoat and he goes to the Texans and they end up having one of the better defenses in the league...

Now someone please explain to me... Jason Witten catches a 9 yard catch on the 19 yard line... You have 2nd and 1... But what do you do? You throw the ball 3 striaght downs... The more Romo has the ball in his hands, the more something bad is going to happen... This should have been a win, instead it's back to back BAD HOME LOSSES... 5 INT's against Chicago and 4 against New York... Sure it was exciting in the end, but exciting doesn't win games... And the facts are we are 3 games out of 1st with a monster schedule still ahead...

Why is it that Andy Reid and the Eagles have never won the big one? Simple. Because of their pass happy offense...

I disagree about the offense. More like inept owners who don't make the right moves at the right times. Jerry just won't get a good coach and relinquish control even at 70. The Eagles owner was the cheapest guy around and refused to get the Eagles what they needed when they made all of those NFC title games.

Jerry needs to man up, fire Jason. Get a real GM and coach. The common denominator over the past 15 years of failure is Jerry Jones and only Jerry Jones.

I couldn't understand not running the ball on 2nd and 1. Made no sense whatsoever.

But you have to keep in mind Romo goes to the line with a pass/run option. So maybe it's just as much on him.

Garrett doesn't get it. There is no way you don't go for something easy on 2nd and 1 to pick up the first down with all three of your timeouts. Just absolutely asinine. He did it at the end of the first half too. There was plenty of time to move the ball. This is why we are the worst red zone team in the league. He must be the dumbest Princeton grad ever and I've given him so much benefit of the doubt. How do you go from a 2nd and 1 to a 4th down TO. It is just unfreaking believable. We have wasted so much good talent, like Witten, Romo, and Ware, et all, on this football team it just makes me sick.

You mean take 4 years to finally call a QB roll-out? Basic play-calling that any average coach can do? If it was so fantastic, why did it occur to him on a 4th and one and that too after 4 years of deteriorating red-zone scoring?

I hate Garrett more than the next guy but I can't blame Garrett on this one. Felix Jones is garbage. He has just come off a fumble. No way in hell he deserved another screw up from that moron. You just can't trust Felix. Besides, it was not set in stone we would have scored if we got the 1st down. The problem with Dallas is turnovers and execution. You will not win a game with 6 turnovers.

So, do you think that Garrett is a good play caller in general?

2nd and 1 from the 20 and we call a out again and miss on it.
3rd and 1 we go endzone. Why?
4th and 1 and the Oline lets everyone walk into the backfield.

We only need 1 yard, run it once there, we still have 3 time outs.
Then after we get the 1st, the start trying to go endzone.

Can this season be over soon enough so we can let Garrett walk and bring in a true play caller and a true head coach that can manage a game.

garrett just outsmart himself too much

I am done with Garrett. He simply does not learn from his retardedness. 3rd and 1 ...pas...4th and 1 ...pass. you kidding me? Also, I don't care that we came back from a 23 point deficit. Romo is simply not going to win anything big. Not with Garrett as a play-caller anyways. Dude is stupid.
