are you still pleased with the "progress" we are making under the head coach? We've lost four of the last six this season, eight of the last twelve overall.

Not a good trend.

I like most of your arguments but about Romo I'm not convinced. Parcells said he has all the ability in the world but he also has a tragic flaw. When it counts most he'll try to do too much and this trait will lose you important games. The HOF coach was right. We've seen it time and again.

Can you point a reference to this supposed quote? I've never heard the term "tragic flaw" used with Romo by Parcells.

Dude doesn't care man, once he hand picks someone in his brain, he's like Jerry Jones. At one point I was on board with JG, then I saw the light, and when that happens, I'm off the bandwagon.

i sifted through the 1st 3 pages of this thread and everything was nearly the same. i skipped over to page 14 and its all the same. what a beat down of a thread.

i'm looking for Garrett apologists, can't find anyone. i dont want to argue with them, i just want to know what angle they're looking at it from.

I wanted to believe in Garrett, but his lack of emotion, screwy play calling, lack of team preparation which has to fall on him have worn me down to point I want him gone.

Even Tyron Smith will retire before we get rid of this "mastermind" coach. We are doomed.

All i ask is bring in another OC, Jerry can have his fetiche with Jason at HC but please get someone else for OC.

Hostile, who do you put the blame on for not having the players mentally ready to play every Sunday? He can't even get in Dez's head to grow up and mature on the field & quit fighting with the opponent, much less get him to run the right route...Not man enough to get in the kids face?? He keeps putting Dez Bryant back as a punt returner yet he has no sense of ball security & where to stand to field punts.. His clock management and play calling is horrendous. He should have taken a stand as the head coach yesterday on the 2nd-3rd & 1 and line up & give the offensive line a chance to get that 1 yard for you.. At least line up in 2 te sets & give them the run-pass option instead of pass/draw option which I don't believe in.

If Jerry Jones is tired of seeing this crap week end and week out, those moves shouldve been made today.

noone gets held accountable, our 3 wins consist of beating the Giants on opening day, and a major struggle to beat TB and Carolina.

even the freaking Colts are 4-3

If the Cowboys had just quit, I would be all on the fire and bench everyone platform. Truth is, the franchise just did that a couple of years ago, right?

Regardless, NO ONE quit! They played their guts out. The QB got knocked down 20 times, had three picks in a row, and Romo and that offense went back onto the field and recaptured the lead.

In a lot of ways, I thought yesterday was one of Jason Garrett's crowning moments. Now, they just have to find a way to stop making these mistakes. Otherwise, there won't be any choice but to make more drastic changes.

Yea, but it's hard to quit when you forget to enter the stadium.

4 games this year the Cowboys have failed to show up at all. Just as bad as quitting imo.

Yea, I'll give them slight credit for not rolling over and taking it like in Seattle or Chicago. Hey, at least this time we diddnt have players having a laugh and wooping it up with each other when we were getting smoked. Progress baby!

Who really cares if we made the comeback? Yes it was a great comeback, but why did everything change as soon as we took the lead? We were not able to score the whole 4th quarter.

This team simply does not want to win.

We are a talented team. We do make mistakes. However, these mistakes are not being corrected. There is no accountability. When there is no accountability there is no discipline.

The secret in being a good coach is that he must be able to instill discipline. Garrett doesn't do that. The problem is that he follows a text book on how to coach. But its through experience that you learn how to coach.

Garrett is just too new on coaching. He doesn't make the right calls when the game is on the line. He just doesn't know how. The only time when he was successful was when Sparano was calling the plays. Maybe he should go back and do the things that brought him success.

Sorry man, I dont think there is any way he is going to sit around and hold the clipboard while he watches Troy Aikman get er done.

I think the losses to the Ravens and Giants are the best two games we've played all year in some aspects of the game. I do not mind the refiner's fire. In fact, I welcome it.

I'm with you. I was thinking after the game yesterday that I really believe we are headed in the right direction. Some of the young talent we have is maturing (Carter and Claiborne), and this team will eventually come together.

I know I'm in the minority (in all likelihood) when I make my next statement however.

I think either....

Tony Romo will protect the football

or

We will be better off when we get a QB who can.

You just can't give the football away at the rate that we do and win football games consistently.

And the answer (if #2 is the solution) is NOT on the roster. It is not Kyle Orton.

Nor, would I dislodge Romo until we find that guy. But I would sure as heck be looking, and I would be looking starting with the next draft.

I agree with you on this also. I love how everyone is all over Garrett and Romo. If Jerry listens to the naysayers then he would not have made his moeny in the oil business. There are going to be up and downs in a career, season, and games. If Dean Smith or Bear Bryant listen to all of the criticism and negativity then they would not become succssful coaches. If Steve Young listen to all of his criticism than he would not have won a Super Bowl. There are a lot of people who have failed several times before they have become successful. My only question is are the same people who criticize Garrett and Romo for their failures are they going to be the same people who praise them for their sucesses? I still believe Garrett and Romo are the right men for the job.
