McFadden over Morris. No K. Smith. R. Smith plays FB in a pinch.

So it would be Elliott, McFadden, Morris and R. Smith at RB for me.

No real issues with the rest of the roster.

Safe to say "ditto except for the RBs" then, @Sydla ?

So, I didn't realize there was an injury issue with Lotulelei... waived today. Figured Durant was just a convenient camp body, but maybe not.

Care to offer your full opening night 53 @Verdict ?

I haven't arrived at a 53. I have some opinions about the tight end situation but for instance the number of OL we might keep and who they are is debatable. I think the 5 starters and Green are locks. It's up in the air after that.

I will let you know when I arrive at my best guess. Too much conjecture over the last 10 spots. There are always surprises.

Quarterback (2)
Dak Prescott
Cooper Rush

Running Back/Fullback (4)
Darren McFadden
Alfred Morris
Rod Smith
Keith Smith
*Ezekiel Elliot (suspended)

Wide Receiver (6)
Dez Bryant
Brice Butler
Cole Beasley
Terrance Williams
Ryan Switzer
Noah Brown
PS: Andy Jones
PS: Uzoma Nwachukwu

Tight End (3)
Jason Witten
Rico Gathers
Geoff Swaim
PS: Blake Jarwin

Notes: Tough cut (trade for a late rd pick though) in Hanna - I'm ready to roll with these three though and sacrifices had to made to get it down to 53. Will miss Hanna's blocking for sure, but Swaim is decent and I think we can manage here. Rico is the red zone specialist and "secret" weapon.

Offensive Line (8)
Tyron Smith
Jonathan Cooper
Travis Frederick
Zack Martin
La’el Collins
Chaz Green
Joe Looney
Emmett Cleary (or somebody better off waiver wire - likely)
PS: Dan Skipper
PS: Kadeem Edwards
Notes: Skipper needs a year in the weight room. Cleary is a concern for depth but for now he is on the 53. Waiver wire may provide a better option.

Defensive Line ( 9)
DeMarcus Lawrence
Maliek Collins
Cedric Thornton
Taco Charlton
Tyrone Crawford
Stephen Paea
Charles Tapper
Benson Mayowa
Lewis Neal

*Damontre Moore (suspended)
*David Irving (suspended)
PS: Joey Ivie
PS: Lenny Jones

Linebacker (8)
Sean Lee
Anthony Hitchens
Damien Wilson
Kyle Wilber
Jaylon Smith
Mark Nzeocha
Justin Durant
Joseph Jones

Defensive Backs (10)
Orlando Scandrick
Nolan Carroll
Byron Jones
Jeff Heath
Xavier Woods
Anthony Brown
Chidobe Awuzie
Jourdan Lewis
Kavon Frazier
Duke Thomas
PS: Marquez White
PS: Jamiell Showers

Specialist (3)

Dan Bailey
Chris Jones
L.P. Ladouceur

PS: Sam Irwin-Hill

How about just a "good" guess? What's the worst that could happen? That you'd miss something? Like that's not almost bound to be the case anyhow for 95% of us?... hehe...

But it's your call. Whenever you finally get comfy.

So, @jazzcat22 , how about yours?

Roster as before tonights game agains the Raiders, and if no Zeke suspension.

Dak, Rush, Moore
Zeke, DMC, Smith, Smith
Bryant, Twill, Beasley, Switzer, Butler, Brown
Witten, Swaim, Hanna, Rico
Smith, Cooper, Frederick, Martin, Collins, Cleary, Green, Looney

Jaylon, Hitchens, Lee, Wilson, Wilber, Nzeocha
DLaw, TCraw, Collins, Taco, Thornton, Tapper, Mayowa, Peae, Neal, Ivie
Carroll, Brown, Oscan, Jones, Heath, Awuzie, Lewis, Frazier, Woods

Baily, Jones, LP

Actual the last 2 or 3 are very tough, because of a numbers game. I went ahead and kept 3 QB's, because I just can't see them releasing Moore. I actually wanted to just keep Morris, because he has looked good running the ball so far. I also want to keep Duke Thomas at CB. I originally had Blanton on my 53, but he has not shown much. I think White at CB always has been a PS guy.

Ivie to the PS when Moore returns. Of corse Morris stays if Zeke misses any games. I really don't want Moore at QB, but trying to be realistic as opposed to what I would want to do.
I think they go 8 OL, as they can always sign an OL if needed, like bring Bell back, if they don't keep him over Looney. Noah and Rico more valuable to keep than a 9th OL.

When Irving returns, then who goes...probably what ever DL is less productive, possibly Neal, as he is one of my last to make the team.
Durant will be available at LB if one is needed after the season starts.
