Per NFLE.com.... It will be nice to see his porgress one more time before training camp in Big D. I pray he does not reinjure the knee playing with that oline full of scrubs. If they win and Frankfurt loses(They have not bet there opponet this weekend in there house since 2000) Rhein is in the Bowl. I could care less what the anti-Henson crown says. This kid has improve each week. Even the hall of fame coch had to admit he sees the improvment ;)

One hand I want him to play on the other hand I wonder if he really is healthy? I hope he is not risking it. But at the same hand, he has to learn how to play with injuries. So I guess it will be a good test in a way.

First thing I thought of. Hes scared he has to come out and make a good impression and hes rushing it. I hope thats not the case. If he had any chance at all, this would kill it. (Not saying he does not have a chance, just saying this is stupid for him to rush it). He needs to be ready to roll come July.

That's how I look at it.

Unless there is some danger of making it worse, which I doubt, there is no reason he shouldn't play. If this were an NFL game, the rebound time would be similar so it is a good test to see how he rebounds.

Gotta remember since he's been a Cowboy:

Peterman calf, plays blows out knee.

Jones tap comes out, gets unofficially benched, comes back hurts it worse and misses 8 games.

Vinny playing the 2nd half with a hurt shoulder on Thanksgiving.

Petitti playing through all kinds of stuff.

He is dealing with what Parcells expects and he's smart enough to be aware of the risk he's taking.

As a Cowboys fan I'd like to see him sit, but at this point his team is the Rhein Fire and he's their "best chance to win", to use a Parcells line. I think there will always be a place on a Parcells team for a player that lays it all on the line for his team.

Get through it healthy Drew.

I think he is lying about starting and until I see quotes from Parcells or Jones, I won't believe it. I can think out of the box. Errr, dallasfaniac can that is. :D

Actually in all seriousness The Answer don't think it's a good idea for Henson to play the rest of the season in NFLE and risk further injury. He has showed enough and has saved his job for now...time to ship him back to the states and get ready for camp. A fierce battle with Jeff Mroz awaits....

Said with real concern. :lmao2: Henson is not coming back eyeing the 3rd string job and will get the oppertunity to show himself.

I just hope he stays healthy and won't push it if he can't go. Just as important I hope their damn O-line shows up to play.

This is just another step in learning the game,I know most here could care less about NFL-E but playing injured is expected in the pros and yet another hurdle he can overcome.

Here's to another good outing and no more injuries:toast:

IMHO He needs all the reps he can get. He's a football player and needs to stand up for the challenge as if his football life depended on it. Let me put it this way: Would Roger suit up to play? Troy? the answer is yes on both counts. If Drew is to be our future QB, he'll need to stand and deliver. This coming from one of his biggest supporters. I wouldn't expect Anthony Wright or Randall Cunningham to play in a situation like that. Of course those two are best remembered in Dallas for being quiters than anything else.

Yep, he needs to play. I hope OL holds well enough to keep Henson upright and healthy.
