I have not heard this. I do not believe you. There is nothing on Twitter about it.

I'm all for it. It's the practice squad, and our D is so horrid, there is no reason why he shouldn't have a legitimate chance at making the team.

I watched Sam in PS game 2 and came away thinking, he makes plays but he doesn't really have explosion. Edwards was better, and he wasn't that impressive. But, he did make plays. So, he's worth a shot

Broaddus literally said Edwards "Can't rush the passer", take that as you will.

We're desperate, Sam needs a job, so let's see if he's got something. We've kicked the tires on around a couple dozen DL since last year, so we might as well check him out. He did get a couple of sacks in preseason.

I got no problem with bringing the kid in so that he has time to develop his game, technique and body for the pro game. He specializes in something this team sorely lacks: PASS RUSH! Hell, bring him in and let's see what he can do. It's not like he's taking up a roster spot. The dude was the SEC defensive player of the year. He's got SOME kind of game in him.

well he was pretty good at lsu, played wde as well as sd.
not a barnstormer but as good as owt we got
Broaddus also said there was no interest in Sam by the Cowboys at all...none....zip...zilch....but they are planning to sign him. Broaddus on top of things as usual.
lmao. was literally just gonna post the same. so much for him having ANY inside info whatsoever, just like him getting the crawford signing wrong too

According to Adam Schefter, this thing isn't a rumor at all. Sam is scheduled to report for a physical today. If he passes as expected he's likely to be signed and relegated to the practice squad. There, they can get a good look at him to see what he's got. I'm lovin' this churning. Kinda reminds me of the Jimmy Johnson days where so many were passing thru the turnstiles. -- lol

NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports the Cowboys are considering free agent DE Michael Sam for their practice squad.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Sam "will be a Cowboy" as long as he passes his physical. As a 4-3 defense in desperate need of edge rushers, the Cowboys would be an excellent landing spot for Sam after he was a victim of the numbers game along the Rams' loaded line. It's almost beyond belief that Sam has yet to find a practice-squad spot after notching three preseason sacks in four games. Sep 2 - 4:27 PM

How long do you see him staying on the PS? Guy is easily better than any DE not named Selvie, Lawrence, Crawford, Spencer and maybe Mincey.

I read that the team called several players to gauge their reactions before making the decision.

Clearly they responded as they should. "Who cares! If he can help the team go get him."

Wow, this guy is the most media covered 7th round draft pick in the history of the NFL.

He must be something.

They just closed a 13 page thread about this haha

yoda oversees all....

I don't know if what he showed in preseason is of value, and I don't know if he's any good, but he looks like he's definitely good enough for this team.
