Did Arenas never develop as a corner? I seem to recall he had at least one good season. Am I remembering incorrectly?

It doesn't look like it.

Javier Arenas has started 12 games in five years, with nine of those starts coming in 2012 and none since.

Arenas only logged 161 snaps at CB the last two seasons (Morris Claiborne had 147 snaps at CB in three full games last yr).

He has a career average of 21.1 yards on kick returns and 9.8 yards on punt returns.

Arenas didn't return any kickoffs or punts last season.

Yeah, I am wondering if he has had injury issues. All those juiced 'Bama players seem to come in and start breaking down immediately.

Either way, I doubt this round of cuts yields anything. Maybe the next round we'll see someone worth claiming

He was the 4th tackle, who I guess became the swing when Free was out

Tony Hills was signed off the MIami Dolphins' practice squad on October 15th last year following Doug Free's injury in Seattle.

Hills stayed on the roster for the rest of the season.

I thought the team might want to re-sign him during the off-season but it didn't happen.

OL Donald Hawkins has also on the 53 all last season and he was waived before the off-season program started this year.

This list is going to be really large by Tuesday. Mcclay is going to be super busy for while.

Positions they could upgrade aren't plentiful, even for backups, but I would be looking at a few spots pretty strongly.

1. KR/PR specialist- Beasley is pretty good as a PR, but I don't want him doing it all season. He's still small and big hits happen on STs. I would be looking heavily at cut downs for someone to get the bulk of these duties.

2. Swing OT- Weems hasn't been as bad as everyone has made out, but if an upgrade is to be had, sign me up. Most teams don't have the depth to cut a good swing OT so if someone shakes loose, it might be a cap casualty.

3. 3rd/4th RB- This is an incredibly low priority for me, but if someone unexpected gets cut I'm in favor of upgrading the position. I'm not sold on Dunbar or that the team will use him effectively. If someone like C. Michaels or one of the younger Buffalo RBs is cut I'm all for upgrading the depth.

This roster really doesn't have too many holes on it so I don't expect a lot of moves. Maybe one or two. I actually expect several of our cuts to quickly get picked up. They could very well have to cut some players that log some decent p/t somewhere else this year.

I thought Tuaau was a DT not an OL.

He was.

Kansas City decided to flip him over to OL.

Charles Tuaau moved from defensive line to the offensive line in practice on Monday.

Tuaau is a 6-foot-5, 310-pound rookie free agent from Texas A&M-Commerce.

“He’s big, physical, he’s powerful,” Pederson said. “He fits that offensive line mode. Right now, he’s learning. We just have to bring him along slowly and see what he can do once he gets in there in live action.”
