*** Official Offense Thread ***

Smith is a great tackle, but today he cost us some yards on that false start. Rookie mistake and not a good one.

Um, they can't run, can't open holes, can't stop committing stupid penalties, and more importantly they can't score points when it matters.

Only 16 points today against one of the worst 2-3 defenses in the NFL is highly disappointing.

The lack of running game is really starting to hurt this team.

too bad we don't have 3 big WR's like Dez, Miles, and Laurent... We had to shuttle pass to our 3rd string RB on 3rd and goal. Oh well.

The line is the problem. They cannot run block, they commit to many penalties and it is making them one dimensional. Sometimes you have to line up and punch the other guy in the mouth and run the ball right at them. Not with these pansies!

Our offensive line is what we get for not spending picks on the OL, instead we used them on Stanbak, Skylar Green, Buehler, AOA, and the 2009 special teams draft.

Until we get some good OLinemen, we can't protect Romo, or open holes in the running game.

We're just stacking one good day on top of each other and working to get better, and stuff.

Welcome back Miles, you piece of garbage. Picked up where you left off, dropping critical passes. And Dez, way to disappear again.

And they certainly didn't help the defense out in the last 3 minutes!

Wee gotta improve in the red zone. Not sure why Dez doesn't get more jumpballs down there. We're wasting his unusual talent to jump and secure the ball.

This team needs to find a stud RB. I'm tired of hearing the so called "experts" say RBs are a dime a dozen and you should not draft them high in the 1st round if at all in the 1st. Stud RBs get first downs at critical times and our lack of one is why this team can't finish in either the red zone or at end of games. Lack of run game cost us this game- nothing else.

We're not in this game without that effort from the D. That was New England out there. 16 points isn't beating them very often.

Reality, is there any way you can ban me so I can slowly begin this detox?

I am always gonna love my Cowboys but not to the point where I'm gonna blog and spend my free time bantering about them. Figured I can remove all temptation and begin to stop being so emotionally invested in a team that finds the most creative and heartbreaking ways to crush your Sunday and the remainder of your work week.

It's kinda like after Luke Wilson gets his 2nd arm ripped off by the bear in Anchorman, 'this is starting to get re-got-dang-diculous'. And I'm not gonna spend another hour bantering about losers, because as long as I've been watching them - 15 strong years, that's all they've been, is losers. They've shown flashes, but I'm that lone Cowboys fan where I'm from, and am constantly reminded of how ****ty this great franchise has become. And to be honest, blogging about a ****ty franchise in your part time, makes you step back, and truly re-evaluate what you're doing.

I'll still watch them every Sunday and maybe pick up the paper, but in terms of blogging, researching, and caring with such conviction - I can't waste anymore of my time doing that for a team that has shown absolutely no promise of a great future.

Call me a lame fan, I'm still gonna love my Cowboys, but not with the same emotional conviction that I have had, to the point where I'll spend countless hours on here or anywhere else researching and carying, it just isn't worth it.

It's been real, and I've loved all the good conversations, met some really cool people here, I just need to spend my free time in more productive areas than obsessing over a team that has created so much negative feelings in the hearts of it's fan-base over the past 15 years.

Laurent Robinson's YAC. This guy just seems to have an ability to break away after a catch. I'd like to see him get more.

You can put Jim Brown in his prime behind this Oline and he wouldn't be able to get a yard. We have an OL that consists of late round picks and FAs (except or Smith). They block as bad as last year's line but cheaper.

This. I was looking forward to this game. We were at full strength against a bad defense.

Is it Romo? The line? The play calling? Who knows...

They can move the ball, but the red zone offense is not good, and the running game has been inconsistent.

The running game is awful, and as much as people want to say it's about the line getting used to playing together, it's not. Last years line was even worse at run blocking, and they had been together for a good, long time.
