The way I see it is that there's your Elite players in the draft who everyone knows who they are and what they can potentially one day be. And the there's everyone else. Players who have either flashed at one time or another or players who possess certain skills that fits a particular scheme or system. Worrying and/or stressing if they grabbed a good player or not in the 5th round and beyond without seeing how they plan to use them or before they take a meaningful NFL snap seems like a fruitless task to me. We're all just guessing if a player will have a positive impact or not, right?

These are exactly the rounds that you select guys like that. At this point, you're drafting on potential. There isn't a sure fire guy left in the draft at this point. Could we have had him as an UDFA? Maybe but McClay and Co. decided it was worth the pick. Call me crazy but I'll defer to McClay. I have a hunch he knows a little more about this whole thing than I do.

His lack of speed is the head scratcher part....slow to play LB......but, maybe they know something we dont.

With the Austin trade we're probably done at WR but Cedrick Wilson would be worth a late round pick. Kendrick Norton is a good run stuffer.
