playing against 3rd stringers in the 1st preseason game is a glorified scrimmage, what's your point? I've seen more good signs from Henson than I have from Campbell

btw, you didn't even watch Henson in NFLE, so what the hell are you talking about?

come on, obvious bias aside, i think campbell looked pretty good out there. not fantastic or anything, but he made nice passes out there and some good reads. he had his share of mistakes, but what novice doesn't?
 
Didn't he say something to the effect of: '...playing in a game I had no business playing in - in the first place....'

I do believe that is what he said.

Whatever, he was definitely bitter!

If Henson does half of what Romo did last night, then I'll agree, but at this point he hasnt shown me much

That wasn't true in 2005. We were also 1-3 in the preseason last year.

My biggest concern right now is Portis' shoulder. It would be nice to have won but in none of the seasons we've won Super Bowls have we had a preseason record above .500.

I don't know that I'd be too concerned. I think he'll be ok.

Preseason can be a barometer of your team's talent. I know at the end of our runs in the 90s we were horrible in PS. We'd get blown out in the second half. We were not drafting well, and our backups would get pasted.

Part of the reason I like what happened with us last night is the fact that our backups played well. We're going to have some depth...especially on defense.

I wouldn't worry at all about the results of this game for your starters. They played ok in their limited action. But I'd worry a little about the lack of talent you all have backing up your starters.
 
I personally thought that was a boring game.......Both 1st strings struggled against each other then the evenly matched game went in favor of the Bengals when the 2nd D was in against that flea flicker.........

Typical rusty preseason game but man I ALMOST thought about not watching every play...........that portis injury sux because he's always hurting that shoulder.....

He'll play against dallas but I dunno if he'll play @ minnesota.......we don't need he then anyway though.......

ES ironically isn't in "THE SKY IS FALLING" mode yet.......I'm equally as shocked that there aren;t 30 haha skins suck threads.......what's wrong with eveyone?!??!!? LOL
 
A poorly played game by our 2nd and 3rd stringers.... but I thought that our first string guys played pretty good. Except the interception that Brunell threw. But, hey... it's pre-season.
 
The preseason isn't that big of a deal, unless it confirms things about your team that you've long suspected ... in the Skins case, they are very thin. Probably the thinnest team in the NFC East. They've traded away a lot of mid-late round draft picks the past couple of years on guys who would currently be 2nd or 3rd stringers. They'll need people to stay healthy, and so far they haven't gotten off on the right foot.

ok I couldn't sleep.......I agree,.....depth is an issue but people really gotta stop taking preseason so seriously........that goes for the times that you go 4-0 too........

I can't wait to see Jason play again......:)

meh.....there team has decent corners and lineman but those LB's will get eaten alive with all the short throws brunell does......

as for the offense......Brad Does scare anymore......he's good for a 38 year old but he's got subpar talent surrounding him......

I forsee a 19-10 game......
