I have mentioned it a few times in the past. :) Here is a question. Do you think it is HBO quality? It is just my opinion, but I think so.

I can respect someone who can watch anime in Japanese. I do it from time-to-time but usually wait it out for the English dubs. That is how I treated AOT. Just pulled out my fingernails waiting for each dubbed episode.

Not sure if you have tried it yet but Crunchyroll is my anime streaming service. Crunchy has ALL 89 episodes. ALL English dubbed. Plus eight OADs, which are episodes that briefly cross-reference throughout all the seasons at key moments--both small and significant. They are really well-done.

Not sure where you are in the series at the moment. Every single major and supporting character is very well-defined. Sasha Braus is one of the Scouts. She is a supporting character but ended up as the one that I loved the most. And I say that while admitting I loved them all--both good and bad guys.

I think back on 'her' episode quite often. Like, a lot. That is all I will say without spoiling it.
I definitely think it’s HBO quality. It’s better than most of the content on HBO right now. The kind of complex intertwining of characters and stories that AOT has is something that I have seen in very few programs. Not many shows can present the stories and backstories of a dozen+ characters this effortlessly.

I don’t have Crunchyroll. I might get it. I am looking for a place to watch the OADs before I finish the series.

Sasha is a lovable character. She, Connie and Jean are quite a trio. My feelings about him obviously change throughout the series, but I think my favorite character right now is Reiner. Everything about his character makes sense. Armin is probably my second favorite. He is probably the most morally upright and selfless person in the show.

The last episode I've seen is episode 82, "Sunset", in season 4, which is a couple episodes after "From You, 2,000 Years Ago". So I'm in the middle of Eren, well... you know.

I get what you feel about Reiner. His character is so intertwined in the sinister backstory. In that aspect, I give equal weight to Annie Leonhart.

Overall, AOT is one of those rare stories (as it progresses) where there is no real dividing line between hero and villain. It can drive viewers to exhilarating highs and bottomless holes. Triumph and tragedy. The sucker can make you feel proud for the characters one moment and rip your heart clean out of your chest the next.

It took TEN years for them to tell the story in only four seasons. I am glad I did not start watching when it debuted. It was hard enough waiting for seasons two through four come out.

Each season's intro was as wonderfully constructed as the episodes. Season one's first intro (link) remains my sentimental favorite.

Last comment/question before I AOT other members to death, lol. Which would you grade as the best Titan fighter (not including Eren because that would not be fair :) ): Mikasa or Levi? For me, Levi was unstoppable but I gotta give my vote to Mikasa--especially whenever Eren was in danger.
