Exactly.

In a perfect world, sure we could cut James, Rivera, Roy Williams, Henry, and Julius Jones and take zero cap hit and find better replacements.

In the real world though, better replacements don't grow on trees....much less the free agency line/draft, and their cap hit would handicap this team in doing much of anything beyond looking like the Tennesee Titans 3 years ago and being in cap hell.

You simply cannot grease every squeaky wheel in the off-season. You have to prioritize the ones that are the squeakiest and would have the least financial impact, and focus on those.

Henry, James, JuJo, and Roy are all staying. Rivera might get cut, but I'd prognosticate that he stays on as well as a backup/locker room guy. Rivera is known as a great locker room guy and leader.
