Offseason Do-Over

If it's a real off-season do over...

1. Do not extend Garrett.
2. Sign coach who believes that coaching improves teams, not clapping.
3. Lock Jerry in janitor closet.
4. Cut Weeden. Sign Tyrod Taylor.
5. Use 3rd round pick on Florida Gator Matt Jones and not on Florida Gator Chaz Green.
5. Use 4th round pick on Stefon Diggs instead of Damian WIlson.
6. Sign Hardy to 2-year deal instead of 1.

Maybe.

If ends the the season with 7-8 sacks then his pay is probably just about right.

I haven't been overjoyed with what I've seen from Crawford, however, I think he has potential to make a bigger impact going forward.

I hope you are right my friend, and he turns into a stud, but what I have seen from him this season has me very concerned.

This defensive scheme is total crap if you undertackle sucks.

The truth is, in my mind, the reason Jerry won't bring in a legit back up, is because he wants no QB controversies.

Is this a serious post?

Romo basically was the league MVP runner up to Aaron Rogers last season and a legit back up is going to create a QB controversy?

If this season has proved anything, it is that Romo wins 8+ games a season basically on his own. This clown show coaching staff cant win one dam game without Romo, so the idea that they are going to "coach up a backup" and that he is going to be so good that it starts a QB controversy is laughable.

We had a terrible offseason. This notion that the Cowboys suddenly have a shrewd front office is way overblown around here. I don't think there's a good talent evaluator in the building, to be honest with you.

The decision to have Brandon Weeden as the next man up literally destroyed this season and the father of that idea, whether it be Jerry, Stephen, the great Will McClay or Garrett should be immediately fired for it. It was a gross misevaluation of talent that has cost the team another of Romo's few remaining years.

Mishandling the RB position only made that bad situation worse.

We are in desperate need of a real GM who truly understands talent and has a vision for the future.

1. Crawford and Beasley's contracts are looking funny in the light. We laughed at the Giants for the Harris contract but he at least put a win in their win column. We should have also picked up the 5th year option on Mo. (Didn't realize it was 11 mill.)
2. Chris Johnson begged to come here, we should have taken a flyer. He looks great in Arizona.
3. We should have cut Weeden and signed Matt Schaub immediately after the season ended.
4. Brandon Carr should have been forced to take a paycut. He got chewed out by Hardy for poor effort on a tackle on Vereen at the end of the 1st half. That dawg player in KC, never showed up in Dallas.
5. Sign Terrance Knighton and sign Justin Durant. JD had great chemistry with Ro, he was one of our best run defenders. Knighton signed for pennies with the Skins. Once we lost we lost T-Mcclain, we lost our only DT with size. This theory that we can just spin ends down is not working. Marinelli's stubbornness about the DT position is starting to frustrate me. Crawford and Hayden were getting pushed around like rag dolls on Sunday.

#1 thing Weeden is not the backup !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

letting demarco walk and the backup qb decision and dragging hardy here was all ofseason blunders by our great gm

Knighton is not a good fit in Marinellis D. Clearly a better player than Hayden, not disputing that. But not a fit here. I do share your frustration with the DT position and Marinelli's stubbornness to upgrade the 1T.
