Offseason full of questions

After the Detroit loss, I had enough and wanted Parcells to go. The more I rethink it, and after listening to players comments after this loss, maybe him staying is the best thing, assuming we do a different direction on defense. I think Zimmer did OK, and I have supported him all the way, but we need a new philosophy on defense, and Parcells needs to realize this.

I think Zim leaves.

Ellis, who knows? I hope he recovers and players another season or 2.

Backup QB. Hmmm, Parcells will want someone with experience I would imagine, but drafting towards the future is a good idea as well, even if it's for 3rd string right now.

B James, I have no idea. Time will tell I suppose. Carpenter to the inside if Ellis returns maybe????

Keep Owens, keep Terry, draft a WR between rounds 3-5.

Pass rush.... As I said earlier, change our philosophy, get more aggressive, and add a DE or LB that excels at rushing the passer. A Thomas from BMore??

Middle of the defense...... Roy must improve, but our LB'ers HAVE to provide better coverage, both in man and zone coverage. As Adamjt suggested, maybe move Carp 2 the nick defense. This still leaves James exposed in the 3-4 if he doesn't improve though......

We also have the issue of Colombo, Gurode and McBriar to address. They all deserve to stay IMO.

Not bad. About 4 or 5 years ago, when went into the offseason with about 60 questions. The list of questions you present is comprehensive, but far less in number. The other contenders have lots of questions heading into next season also.

Don't try to have me whacked for saying this, Vito, but all 32 teams will be the 'other contenders' next year.
The Lions are 2nd up from the bottom, which is where the Saints were last year.
